Moon Shine Garden Resort — Hotel in Shaheed Dweep

We visited Neil on 26th April. I met a gem of a person there. Sukumar Kaku (Mr. Sukumar Das) a person, who is very simple, humble and good to everyone. We never felt that we were staying in a hotel or resort. It was like our own home. If you are visiting Neil island you must visit Moon Shine Garden once and meet this person. Make sure that You enjoy his singing as he is a very very good singer as well.

Coming to the hotel part. The hotel is good, the atmosphere is good and not very far from Laxmanpur beach. The food is also very tasty and portions were good.

The hotel is near to Lakshmanpur beach (about one kilometre) and is comfortably placed. The nearest beach can be reached with a walk of 4 to 5 minutes. Rooms are neat and clean and comes with a reasonable price. A small restaurant is also run by them where south Indian north indian foods are served. The rooms are small and not that clean. Cockroaches were there in the room. Drinking water was not provided. Food was very expensive. Can find better food at better rates in nearby restaurants. It’s better not to contact them for the travel options around Neil island as they charge high compared to other options. At night after 10 pm Wi-Fi is not available.
