Golden Sand velankanni — Hotel in Tamil Nadu

One of the terrible stays i've ever had in my life time, I went with my family along with my friend family after booking two rooms much in advance. I reachecd the hotel same day of the checking and 9 hours late though. It was breakfast inclided stay, but they have a fish land restuarnat attahed with this property for name sake, first day when we went for the breakfast, the server was asking for food coupen, i had to reach out the reception in person to explain as though it never exissted.. the reception had to call out his higher ups and finally agreed to give me 5 token, cause i booked two rooms, 1 room for 3 adults + 1 child, and another 1 room for two adults + 1 child. after breakfast we went to the the shrine for the english mass, we spent the whole Sunday outside. we came ack to the hotel adter our dinner and took rest. The very next day around 9:30 AM we are ready for the breakfast, this timne around i came out and got the token for breakfast before everyone. I called everyone for the breaksat to the restuarent and we all waited int he restuarant, the server int the restuarant was having his breakfat, i've given him the tokens and we all were wating there... two other kitchen boys were going here and there as though they were going to now only preapre the batter and dow... we waited for some time and asked them if they could provide as the breakfast at 10am, to my surprise they said only then they are going to prepare... i said it is not fair, we are going out for the breakfast and we had our breakfast outside paying some good amount. This is the day we had to check out before 12PM... Yes we complained to the receptions about everything happpend demanding to reduce that breakfast amout at-least, finally after all qurrals and complains shouting about their cheating... i had a cahnce to speak to the hotel owner and finally he aggreed to reduce Rs. 500 and i was asked pay Rs. 400 and leave. i did so.||||No toileteries were provided,||The housekeeping guys are exists to just beg some money for anything they do.||no amenities not even a towel and soup...terrible hotel.||cost is too much for the service, i've told them i've no propablem paying, but provided your service is good.||theri silence was the answer after...

I visited Velankanni with my family (4+2). Stay was at Hotel Golden Sand||Hotel location : Perfect. Beach, church, morning star church, bus stand very very near. Shops are very near and you don't have to roam searching anything.||Hotel : we got 601 & 602. Best option if you with family. You can access both rooms and lock the partition door if u want.rooms are awesome. AC is good. Bed is big but not huge. Clean. Mini fridge. TV with free channel. No power cut. Hot water full time. One chair and two small sofa chair. One jug and two glass. No towel or toiletries. Fan lights and plugs all works fine. Lift is always accessible and no delay. Wardrobe is available with two hangers and spacious. No lockers. Western toilet and showers.||Restaurant : hotel restaurant is good and tasty if you compare it with outside food joints. If you getting complimentary breakfast then pls check about kids. Complimentary breakfast means, you will get a plate with include two dosa, one appam or puri, omelet, chutney, curry, tea, 1.5 scoop of Pongal or upma. Restaurant provides almost everything.||If you want to use outside restaurant go for Saravana bhavan. Rest try it own your own.||Go any go restaurant prices are almost same and expensive.||Velankanni church is having new rooms and available on personal booking only. Try that if you have time and don't want to go for any luxury.||Preparing food is good option again if you have time.||Beach is bit cleaned compared to our previous visit. Shops and floor is much butter.||If you buying those grams and nuts, chips for home go for Ave Maria at beach that guy is the best.||Finish you holy mass in morning and go-to shopping after 3.30. ||Train is good option but always we have to wait. If you can travel by bus, it's the best option. ||Nagapattinam to Velankanni auto charges ₹250 only 4adults and 2kids can travel easily with 2 big suitcase.||Plan what you want to see first before coming out of your rooms. ||||I hope...

I have booked a 3bed room via online for a 2 night stay (9th, 10th Aug 2019). During check-in (at 2pm) i asked about checkout time, he said it same time, its 24hr policy. I asked him again, and he confirmed that 11th Aug 2PM is checkout time.

After seeing the room i was shocked...room and toilet is very dirty. We saw big cockroach running on the bed. I went to reception to see if I can upgrade to a better room. The reception guy was too rude and he is scolding that "I dont know how you got the room?, how its approved?. Hotel is already full, We don't have any rooms left. This is the room you booked, If you want you stay". Also, he is saying you people book online so you get room for lesser price. But I paid same amount as they have in hotel tarrif.

Towels, bed sheets were not provided. Informed them multiple times, still they didnt care to provide them.

We went to have lunch, and the food is too horrible. Please never have food here... You have lot of options outside. After the first attmept i never went to their restaurant.

On the day of checkout, some guy came to my room at 12:00 and asking us to checkout. I told that, earlier you informed that checkout is at 2:00 and not you are asking us to checkout immediately. He says for online booking 12:00 is checkout time. I asked him, that you need to inform that earlier. Then on hurry we checked-out at 1:00 pm.

To Note: They have 2 receptions in the hotel.. One is for online booking..and one is for direct booking. And they have 2 types of room as well ... very old dirtly stinky room for online booking, and new rooms (not sure if its neat) for direct booking at hotel. Also they will treat you like some 3rd grade people if you book online. They wont give towels, soap, bed sheet etc etc. During checkout the reception guy gave a number and asked us to call that number if you want to book again, dont...
