Hotel Jai Dharshini Palace — Hotel in Tamil Nadu

Worst experience I have ever felt in my life in this hotel ,they cheat is by charging more room rent than they said when we check in ,I asked them that I have to stay for 1 and half day and i asked how Is the rent for this 1 and half day for triple bed AC room 2 nos ,they said that total of 5328 including tax for that ,and i paid but when I about to check out ,they asked me pay again 5328 ,when I asked about that they are saying that the amount I paid is for 1 day only and for 12 hours extra you have to pay another 5328 ,I asked that you have agreed for that amount first but you are asking more again they deny that and telling that ,they I have told for only 1 day ,I said no I can't pay that much ,and i asked that person to come who is there at the time of booking to clarify ,but what they did is they called the police and they threaten us and they make me to pay extra 4000 rs by by threatening,but till end the person at the reception at the time of booking has not come to clarify whether he said or not ,he talked only over by phone and he is denying it ,who ever booking a room pls clarify the rent they say whether it is for a day or what ,and ac cooling is not good ,no hot water...

Absolutely gem of a place to stay at Kumbakonam. The property is relatively new and well maintained. AC option is there.

Rooms were very decent and washroom clean. Followed sanitisation.

But its customer service is what sets this truly apart. The desk manager was very courteous and helped me plan my entire itinerary based on my preferences.

After checking in late, in the evening I went to a nearby Veg restaurant for dinner but realised that I had forgotten my wallet at the hotel. The restaurant accepted only cash. Wasn't willing to even take GPay payment. I cashier the hotel manager (Kumar) and he understood my predicament. He immediately offered help. Told me to have my dinner with peace, spoke to the restaurant manager to take care of me. In the meantime the hotel manager sent one of his staff to lend cash to me. Absolutely gem of a hospitality.

Plenty of parking spot available. There is a Non Veg fine dining next door. Great...

Jai Dharshini Palace is located on one end of the city and serves as an average budget stay, especially for temple visitors and short-stay travelers. The staff are polite, and room service is prompt and courteous.

While the rooms are manageable for a night or two, the building has a mild odour, and the overall hygiene levels could be improved. It may not suit guests who prefer a highly clean and modern environment.
