Simply Amazing Property. This property has the best of all worlds.(I can't help but write a review)
1.Prime Location - walkable distance from town, right at the heart of Ooty but at the same time away from the main road and traffic which makes it a very quiet and peaceful stay
Hospitality - Fahad has a great team to recieve and treat us at Meraki. 24*7 support for anything and everything. Very customer friendly people and they are very polite humble and customer oriented. Right from the front office staff, cooks to the guards everyone treated us with a happy smile.Do not hesitate to ask them for any help.
3.Food - Meraki has only a breakfast option. but if you are here, do not miss it. Fresh, homely cooked food right from the kitchen. They have a cute buffet that won our hearts. For lunch and dinner you can either dine out somewhere or can swiggy or zomato. Coming from Bangalore the one thing we found missing in ooty was quality dine in restaurants or cafe.We had been to Sugar Dribble, Le Cafe, Magnolia restaurant etc. But nothing beats that breakfast here.Start your day in Ooty with this heartwarming breakfast.
4.Rooms and Facilities - The entire property is like a huge bunglow converted to a boutique hotel. The interiors have been done with great aesthetics.Still looks like a brand new stay. We could see how much attention to detail has gone in to the design, look and feel. Decor and lightings deserve a 5*. We could only get the Standard Room ( Basic - as our trip was unplanned). It was a very compact room. But so neat and planned. The washrooms were very neat and clean and the bathroom fittings were in perfect condition, spick and span. Although the room was small, all the other factors made our stay perfect for 2 nights.
Pricing - Last but not the least. After researching for almost 3 hrs on the internet, we made this booking. At 3.5k per night, we were expecting only an average hotel. But oh my oh my, this property is an absolute paisa wasool.
Overall - (if you have read this review till here) - I would love to come back and stay here and will definitely recommend this place to friends and family. I would like to thank Fahad and the entire team of Meraki Maison for an amazing experience here in Ooty ❤️
What not to expect : This is not a resort. so please don't expect moutain views, gardens, cafes, 24*7 food in the property. This is a compact...

I booked this place two years ago. The property felt like a gated villa complex. Rooms looked comfy and nicely furnished. We were put up in a single story premises with 3 rooms on the ground floor with a common lounge area outside these three rooms. When I entered I saw a family consisting of a couple and their in law seated in the lounge area. The couple stayed in one room and the mother-in-law stayed solo in the adjacent room. I went to sleep around midnight but was awoken after an hour by shrill cries from the someone in the common lounge area. When I opened the door, I saw the mother in law weeping . She was then consoled by her son and daughter-in-law. She went on to claim that some one(large male figure) open her locked hotel room door and menacingly started walking towards her bed as she suddenly woke up. When she started screaming the figure ran out of the room. Her wailing and narration went on for about 5 minutes and still no staff turned up to check on us. I told the family to calm down and that I would check for the manager. The manager was fast asleep in a room at the adjacent block, top floor...after several calls and knocks on the door , a staff member appeared . I told him what had happened to the lady in the room beside mine. He casually shrugged it off. I asked him if the hotel had a functional cctv ...he said it didn't work. I asked him why the security guard wasn't on duty. He said he must have fallen asleep. He further went on to suggest that the lady probably imagined all of it. I said we could have ruled that out if your cctv cameras were working. Overall the staff seemed too casual, sleepy and least bothered about the happenings of that night. I was not pleased by the attitude of the staff. I spoke to the couple from the other room and we all decided to cut short our stay. The next morning , the breakfast was mediocre and no apologies were offered .
The cctvs would have shed light on the truth. Who opened the door that night? A person .... some supernatural force..or her imagination? We'll never know. But the experience was not one I...
Read moreI wanted to share some feedback regarding my recent stay at your hotel, as there were several issues that negatively impacted my overall experience.
Wi-Fi: Unfortunately, the internet connection was quite unstable and frequently interrupted, making it difficult to stay connected. In today’s digital age, a reliable internet connection is essential, especially for guests who may need to work during their stay.
Breakfast Service: I requested a boiled egg during breakfast and was informed that it would take approximately 15 minutes to prepare. I accepted this timeframe, but I was disappointed to observe that when the owner of Meraki Maison arrived and made the same request, he was promptly served while my request was overlooked. Such preferential treatment is disheartening and suggests a lack of respect for paying guests. This type of service inconsistency reflects poorly on the hotel’s commitment to fair and professional customer service.
Cleanliness: The cleanliness of the room was another concern, specifically regarding the electric kettle. The kettle appeared to be unclean, and the water had an unpleasant taste, raising concerns about the hotel’s hygiene standards. Cleanliness is a basic expectation, and this issue detracted from my comfort during the stay.
Mosquito Problem:There were numerous mosquitos in the room, which made it difficult to rest comfortably. Although we requested mosquito spray, it was not provided. While the room had a Goodnight mosquito repellent machine, it was not sufficient to address the issue. Given that the room did not have air conditioning or a fan, dealing with the mosquito problem became quite challenging, especially during the night.
Considering the price point, I had anticipated a higher standard of service and attention to detail. I sincerely hope that my feedback will encourage the hotel to make the necessary improvements in these areas to enhance the overall guest experience...
