The Majestic Crown — Hotel in Tamil Nadu

I have no option to give ZERO STARS or else I would have given that The hotel staff crashed my car and did not take responsbility. When I checked in they asked me to hand over the key in receiption as they may have to take other cards out in the morning if someone needs to get out. I refused to leave the keys there overnight in the morning as I was in thw shower, they took the keys to get the car out to let other guest car out. While taking my car out, they crashed into the compount wall. Then the manager started blaming why I gave the keys to the staff and did not take any responsibility and said that they have fired the guy who crashed the car and offered me 5000 Rs which was his salary balance where as the cost of my repair would be anywhere around 50,000. Pictures are attached here for people to see the extend of the damage. I have lodged a complain in the local police station against the hotel (and not the person who crashed) Its the hotel that makes money and they cannot just say they fired the guy who made the mistake which will not resolve the problem of the customer. The manager of the hotel was very arrogant(he id not even ready to tell his name and share his photo ID where as they took my photo ID) All these things in fact ruined our entire trip as it was my son's birthday for which we had been there and he had to return home without any celebration. These guys are cheat and cheap.. they make so munch money on the hotel business, but do not take care of customer issues when the damange is done by the hotel staff. I went there by looking at the star rating and not sure how they have got these ratings. May be they paid people to write good reviews. The rooms are stinking and not clean. My first 2 minutes walk on the floor made my feet black. I do not reccomend anyone going to this hotel so that they can avoid ruining their stay in such a nice city...

Kind of a good property considering Ooty. But we didn't quite have a good time, rooms were smaller than shown in picture. Food was just not good and the only thing my family and I ate were bread and butter, at night we ordered food, most of the items weren't available, the paneer sabji was served but smelled so bad that we returned it and had to order 2 full fries so to get something fresh to eat. Food served in broken dishes, no hygiene maintained. We booked our rooms with breakfast included so it made it compulsory to have the breakfast at the hotel, we had a bad time at dinner, so we didn't eat here instead ordered from the KFC nearby and ate in our room only. I left my retainers behind, and we asked them to clean the rooms while we were away, I came back and my retainers weren't there anymore but the hotel staff just deined that they don't throw away things unless they're lying on the floor. It is fine, unless you don't eat here and don't leave your precious things behind. Considering it is a place on a hill station.

I stayed here with my family. We booked two rooms 1200 each room + 300 one heater. The best part is that the hotel has a masjid in the cellar and the hotel is well maintained and I found the price was reasonable. It is situated at the beginning of the town if you're coming from Bangalore/mysore and all the sightseeing, restaurants and shopping places are nearby. 24x7 hot water. The staff is very well behaved. We stayed for 3 nights and they helped us with every requirement especially the college going boy named Vishal. Our car broke down and they arranged a rented car with driver for sightseeing and we left ooty after 3 days, they even agreed to keep it in their cellar until we are back to collect it. The food items except butter chicken were good. But you can avoid the food here and go for Hyderabad house. I mean the customers aren't dumb to not find out that they have used chicken kabab in butter chicken. Apart from butter chicken everything else was great. Don't book from sites, come and ask for rooms directly, if you can bargain they might...
