We are also surrounded by a number of cultural attractions which make it easier for our guests to visit in between their itineraries.

A Safe Home Away from Home We at Hotel Kanha Shyam Prayagraj have also undertaken various measures as per guidelines of Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and local administration to ensure the guests have a safe stay with us. As a precaution we are training all our team members on COVID-19 prevention and surveillance. Special attention is being paid to maintain hand hygiene through proper and frequent hand washing. We discourage guests with local ids to stay and also do not allow visitors in guest rooms Repeated surface cleaning and sanitization of all areas, increased access to our team members and guests to alcohol based sanitizers at prominent locations is followed as a protocol We are using cleaning and disinfecting protocols to clean rooms before they are assigned to an arrival guest, with special attention to high touch items like door and wardrobe handles, telephones, TV remotes etc. in rooms We have increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting in public spaces with focus on high contact areas like front desk, elevator and elevator buttons, door handles, public bathrooms and even room keys In the areas where our team members work, we are increasing the frequency of cleaning with special attention to high touch areas like staff entrances, locker rooms, staff offices, Laundry to name a few. As a precautionary measure for prevention of Covid-19, all hotel facilities might not be availaible...

If you are traveling in a group, be ready for a lock-in surprise, that is, the hotel would lock the gates (even for first guest checkout) until bills of all rooms are settled!!!......We were there for two nights as a part of large group and occupied 18 rooms for two nights. We faced one of the most rude behaviour. We faced the following issues: 1. Air Conditioners was not working. (Room 306 and Room 302) 2. Room has TV buy NO cable. The hotel couldn't get it corrected during our stay of two days and blamed the delay on TataSky, which (Tata Sky) has excellent delivery standards. 3. The rooms do not have door mats and the hotel do not provide temporary footwears. 4. Toiletries (including soap and shampoo) are provided only on request. Now comes the best part: 5. 95% payment of our group booking was made in advance. The hotel politely allowed to let 12 of our 18 rooms check out. But then suddenly when the next two rooms checked out to catch the train, we were surprised to find the gates of the hotel locked. The hotel did the following : a) It did not allowed one family with a 6 month child did not get of hotel for almost 2 hours. (hospitality???) b) The guest weren't even given a glass of water. c) The luggage of the guest was quarantined. And the guests were refused access to luggage. d) we offered to clear all the dues (as some of us had to catch) the train and asked for complete details of the outstanding dues, we were told that these are not ready!!! (and the guests/their luggage was already held). The detailed account of the outstanding was not given to us after repeated requests. (Please note that meanwhile some of our guests had opted to extend the stay and the hotel was told that they would be appropriately paid.) e) About an hour into the argument, somehow, a few of us managed to get out of hotel, and viola, the hotel staff blocked our car!!! There were many other instances. These were a few key highlights of our stay. So our recommendation: stay at your own risk or pay a few bucks extra to avoid being locked-in. Happy staying at the...
