Hotel Milan Palace — Hotel in Uttar Pradesh

As of December 2022, Construction is going on full swing in second floor and facade. Hence, there is lot of disturbance, dust and clutter everywhere.

Rooms have a damp smell and the floor is not very clean from many places. Almirah had broken handles. The windows of the room are locked and not openable because of which the rooms don't have any natural ventilation.

In the washroom, comode is placed very high as compared to Indian standards because of which it becomes uncomfortable while use. They switched off the central Geyser or Boiler at 00:00 hours and after that I got only Cold water in all the taps. In toiletries they give 2 very bad quality soaps and 2 clinic all clear sachets only. Dental kit is available on demand. Comb is not provided. Bathroom slippers are not available at all.

They give 2 small water bottles as complimentary. After these 2 bottles finish they provide you with so called RO water. However, this RO water seems to be tap water, because of which I got diarrhoea and had to get admitted to Srijan hospital nearby for 2 hours for getting intravenous glucose and diarrhoea medicines.

The food description in restaurant menu is fictitious. They don't comply with what they have written in their own menu. For example, they have written that the Omlette is accompanied by potato wedges and toast and sauces. However, the Omlette came with salted wafers and when I asked for toast they said it's chargeable.

I ordered vegetable biryani in room first night and it seemed good. Hence, next night I thought of repeating the same order. However, they gave me the same old Stale vegetable biryani which seemed left from the last night's preparation.

The room cleaning staff entered the room twice in morning with their master keys while I was sleeping. They don't bother to knock or ask reception about checkout status of the guests.

At exact 11.30pm. the bell boy started coming to room for checkout. I told him that it will take some time, I am packing my stuff and was not feeling well because of diarrhoea. Then he again came at 11.45pm. However, I was still not ready. Then he again came at 12.00 pm and then at last I have to give my luggage to him...

To begin with they had very small room. Many of the oyo rooms provide much bigger rooms than this

The room cleanliness was not upto the mark. There were many corners were the dust was stacked over a period of time. I have shared one picture

There was no doormat provided for bathroom

I ordered chicken steak in the night. They were supposed to provide grilled chicken without the use of oil. But, they served deep oil fried chicken with at least 250ml of oil in it

They couldn't provide as basic requirement as the hot water in the shower. I had to wait for one hour in the morning to get their technical issues sorted. The technician who came to repair came with gum boots creating lot of dust and mud inside the bathroom and went without cleaning it. Few photos are provided

The corridor smelled of alcohol and smoke and the rooms also had a pungent smell. They don't use...

We negotiated on the spot and booked 3 rooms for our family of 7 for one night on 16 March'2023. Rooms are good, but service is not upto the mark. While checking in, we were informed that there will be buffet spread for breakfast. However, in the morning, we were informed that we have to order from breakfast menu and it will be served in the room. When ordered over phone, we were again asked to come to dining hall to get the breakfast served. In dining hall, they served breakfast of only one room order against our 3 rooms. After waiting for almost half-an-hour to get served, the staff asked us to repeat the already ordered items for breakfast and were served after another half-an-hour. The items were also very limited to order. For the kind of price they are charging for the rooms like 4-start luxury hotels, service is like a 2-star budget hotel. There may be much better options in Prayagraj. Hotel Milan Palace is definitely not a recommendable place to stay...
