We stayed at this hotel as a group of 12 Yatris overnight as part of our visit to Badrinath. We had stayed at this hotel in 2012 as well. Our usual place of stay is Hotel Devlok managed by GMVN. Dwarikesh hotel is at a walkable distance from the Badrinath temple. I am not sure if many would prefer walking in the biting cold at 6 am for an early morning dharshan. The hotel is run by Mr. Shailesh Dhyani and Mr. Mithlesh Dhyani. It was the latter with whom we were interacting. He was cordial and made sure our stay was comfortable as much as he could. ||||Rooms were neat||Bathrooms were also clean||Linen was clean||Floor is carpeted though it needs some repair here and there||Room heater is available at an additional cost of Rs. 200 though I would like to see it given as part of the facilities in the room.||||There is no restaurant in the hotel and that makes it slightly difficult to move out and have food. Read moreWe had booked Hotel Dwarikesh one month earlier through CharDham Hotels at a huge cost (almost 3 times the actual cost displayed at the reception).|When we reached the reception, they said they didn't have our reservation. After a long argument and a quite a few phone calls to CharDham hotels (Mr Hari Om Rana and his partner), it was resolved and we were given a room. The argument they gave for the high cost was they did not force us to pay and book the hotel room. It was our own wish. They didn't apologise for the fact that they displayed a very high price in thier website. According to Chardham Hotels, the fault of non-reservation lay with the manager/ owner of Dwarikesh as they had sent the reservation details to him and he had not advised his reception staff. |The whole episode was a bitter experience and we will never recommend CharDham hotels to anybody. Keep away from them.|The hotel itself was...
Read moreI booked this hotel for October -2025 this year via Booking.com. There was no requirement to pay any money before the stay. However, the hotel manager contacted me directly and asked for the full amount to confirm the booking but when I said that on Booking.com there was no requirement to pay advance he said that because of the busy time I had to pay something. So finally, I had to pay him more than 50% of the total booking amount. |But then the manager started playing up and he declined to provide any confirmation receipt and booking details. When I said I can't pay more than the agreed amount he said that he can't provide the booking details and receipt. Then he stopped responding to my messages.|This hotel is not trustworthy and the manager is very rude and impolite.|Please stay away from this place or you will lose your money and you will regret your decision.|Be safe and find a legitimate...
