Hotel Himsagar — Hotel in Uttarakhand

The bedsheet was terribly dirty, I had to ask the hotel staff to get it changed as soon as we checked in, that at 9pm ! It was one of those cold nights, we asked for room heater. We were told that the heater comes at an extra cost of RS.300/night and there's no guarantee that the blower will throw hot air ! Funny, but true. The room given to us was in level 2 ( First floor , as referred in India) but there's no elevator. The bathroom had bare minimum aminities, though it was clean. The water was lukewarm in the morning, fit enough for a bath. The hotel is bang on the bazar street, has some place to park a few cars of the guest. The hotel's front desk could not pull up the reservation by first name or last name, they wanted to see my booking confirmation from the travel portal. The charging points were very limited, couldn't charge more than 2 devices simultaneously. |Among the few positives are the quick service by the hotel's staff and they were always willing to help. Giving five stars and fully satisfied with everything I notice there. I'm mentioning here some points which i love personally..

The location is amazing and beautiful.

You don't need to go outside the market, you can enjoy local market which is again really good and full of positive peoples.

Food was excellent and restaurant available inside hotel, so it's up to you, you can go for dining or simply you can order at room.👌

Staff was very polite and respected, they really care about their customers

One of the services worker, Mr. Mahipal Bisht is very cool personality, he know the goodness of positive attitude and he is very hardworking. Simply I'm impressed 😊

Except location there is nothing good with this hotel. Very old hotel with no management. Their staff is also non trained staff. They do not even know how to talk to guests. Do not book deluxe rooms at all as they are just next to reception on the ground floor which is a curse, as their staff rings the bell anytime. Sometimes I take the remote sometimes to ask for food. After ringing the bell if they are seeking something from the room, they won't wait for you to get it or take your permission, they straight forward enter into your room like morons. They talk so loud on reception or watch TV till late night like beyond 12, and when you ask them to lower down or switch off the TV, they will ignore the request like a pro. So I would suggest choosing this hotel at your own risk. I will never recommend anyone to stay...
