I recently booked a room at the OYO Hotel for my weekend getaway, and I was looking forward to a relaxing stay. However, upon arriving at the hotel, I was disappointed to find out that my check-in was denied due to my prepaid booking.
Firstly, I want to highlight that I had booked and paid for the room in advance through OYO's website, and I had received a confirmation email with my reservation details. However, when I reached the hotel, the front desk informed me that their system was not updated, and they did not have any record of my prepaid booking. They claimed that they were fully booked and could not accommodate me, despite my prepayment.
The staff at the front desk were unhelpful and unsympathetic to my situation. They did not offer any alternative solutions or suggestions to resolve the issue. I was left stranded without a place to stay, even though I had already paid for the room.
I was extremely disappointed with this experience, as I had relied on the prepaid booking to secure my accommodation for the trip. It caused unnecessary stress and inconvenience, and it marred my entire travel experience.
As a loyal customer of OYO Hotels, I expected better service and professionalism. It was unacceptable for a hotel to deny check-in to a guest who had prepaid for a room, without any reasonable explanation or alternative arrangements. It left me feeling disappointed and frustrated.
I strongly urge OYO Hotels to improve their system and communication between their website and hotel partners to avoid such situations in the future. Additionally, the hotel staff should be trained to handle such issues with better customer service, offering solutions and alternatives to guests facing denied check-in due to prepaid bookings.
