Madhuvan Cottage — Hotel in Uttarakhand

It was a wonderful experience staying in Madhuvan Cottage with family recently. Located just 5 kms prior to Mukteswar Dham, this property offers a very peaceful atmosphere and makes one feel closer to nature. Property is so ideally situated with rooms facing the valley and mountains. Mornings start with a variety of birds chirps waking you all fresh with no fatique or sleepy feelings. Sunset is a treat to watch with a beautiful view from the terracevof this property. Food is really good and served hot makes you feel like home with wonderful dining area and garden in front where apple, plum, pear, lemon trees are planted and also organic farming is done and the organic pakoras are really awesome. Chef here gets full credit for the tasty food served here. In all staying here and enjoying nature is really pocket friendly. Near to this property, one can trekk for about half an hour to go to an old Shiva Temple of this village, where from also you can see beautiful valley and sunset. Mr.Deepak Bisht owner of the property is really a calm, cool and sweet person and a wonderful host. Entire staff here was good and efficient in their work and services. Also special are Jhumroo the pug fondly called network by Mr.Bisht as he follo s him everywhere and is as cool as his owner, while other one is Sheru, special mountain breed dog, to guard the property from outsiders but he is friendly to guests in the property. Praveen, Pooja, Kanha and Ruchi school going kids of owner and staff are so sweet, friendly can be seen enjoying and playing amongst themselves. I will start my review with a thanks to my friend who suggested this place . This cottage was an amazing place to stay.. quiet and full of natural beauty surrounding you. We can never forget the experience of watching sunset while enjoying our herbal tea and pakora. Clean room with all amenities. Delicious home like food. My seven year old daughter enjoyed a lot as there was ample space to play with jhoolas. If you want to spend quality time with nature, please visit this place. A special thanks to the property owner Mr Deepak who was a wonderful host. He was very friendly and always ready to help. Such was his warm hospitality that we always felt homely atmosphere there.My daughter made new friends there - Naina , Kanha ,Pradeep and Pooja - all school going kids. A superb place to be in, and you will relish each moment of your stay in the cottages. The attendants are quite friendly. The rent is quite reasonable for the ambience and view these cottages offer. Try fixing yourself for a few days in a cottage, and enjoy the silence around with occasional interferences by the chirping of birds and crickets. The cottage compound itself is full of trees and nature. If you are a nature geek, you are going to love this place like anything. There are two types of cottages - the average one (just relativity, even these cottages are superb) and the premium ones.
