If you’re someone who enjoys savoring fresh, home-style meals in a peaceful and scenic environment, this place is an absolute gem. The food here truly stands out for its simplicity and authentic flavors. Every dish feels like it has been thoughtfully prepared, allowing you to experience the essence of local cuisine rather than something overly commercial or rushed.
One thing to keep in mind is that the service can be a bit slow, but I actually see this as a positive aspect. The reason for the wait is that the food is cooked fresh, right from scratch, only after you place your order. In a world where we’ve become used to instant everything, it’s refreshing to enjoy a meal that hasn’t been pre-prepared or reheated. The wait gives you the perfect opportunity to slow down, soak in the views, and truly relax.
Speaking of views, the surroundings here are breathtaking. On clear days, you can admire beautiful layers of distant mountains, and if you’re lucky enough to visit on a clear night, the sky is filled with countless stars — a truly magical experience. This serene backdrop makes the meal even more memorable, turning it into more than just a dining outing, but rather a complete sensory experience.
Whether you choose a stuffed paratha, comforting sabzis, or a flavorful thali, each dish feels homely and comforting. The breads are soft and warm, the gravies are rich without being heavy, and everything tastes incredibly fresh. Dishes like nimbu ki jholi offer a burst of local flavor that you won’t easily find elsewhere.
This is the kind of place where you don’t just eat; you unwind, breathe in the crisp mountain air, and enjoy each bite at a slow, joyful pace. It’s perfect for anyone looking to escape the city rush and enjoy honest food in a beautiful, natural setting. Highly recommended if you’re visiting Mukteshwar or nearby areas — just come with patience and an appetite for real,...
Read moreThis is one of the top rated and most reviewed cafe in Mukteshwar. It is over 5 years old and serves an array of continental and indian cuisine
#ambiance : 4/5 Unlike the pictures, the cafe is quite small with a seating space of 25-30 people. It has nice large windows so that the guests can soak in the valley view. It has contemporary settings including small paintings on local culture and places to see in and around Mukteshwar
service : 3.5/5 Slow service. We had to literally wait 20 mins for honey chilli potatoes and 30+ mins for the pizza The servers are very courteous and will help you in all the ways possible.
food and beverages: 3/5 chocolate shake : Quite and ordinary shake and clearly not the best of the menu. It was nothing more than chocolate flavored milk. There were no twists or infusion of signature flavor. With a limited menu and a boutique cafe, the owners should definitely put more efforts in each of the items honey chilli potatoes : Quite bland. They tasted as if pre made fries were dipped in honey rather than the Thai dish. Any street vendor in delhi can make honey chilli potatoes better than this Veggie Delight pizza : The face saver. The place is known for its pizza and veggie delight didn't disappoint. Loaded with veggies, a crunchy base and good sauce, it felt fresh and filled our hunger. You should just go for the pizza at this cafe
value for money : 3/5 It is a bit on the pricey side compared to the quality of food offered. We were pretty disappointed since it was so highly reviewed and we feel that management must look into the dishes...
Read moreNot sure if it has been recently taken over by a new owner or not, as looking at the reviews it says its specialty is italian, but when I visited this, it claimed to serve Local Kumaoni food. Coming to the food, it was good. And I admit that I saw the menu and the rates before I ordered so no complaint on that part too. I ordered a thali which was 350 INR +Taxes. But I was completely taken aback by the portions when the thali arrived. Frankly speaking, for me, some of the items actually look like a "taster sample" in terms of quantity. And on top of that they were served in very low quality disposables. The disposable spoon quality was so bad that it got broke twice while we were having the food. From my point of view, this particular 350 Rs thali is definitely not sufficient for a normal eating individual. They also offer a Rs. 700 + taxes thali which I assume is actaully would be sufficient for an individual. Posting few pictures too for the same. Don't really like giving a bad review to anyone, but again I wanted to post...
