Starz Clarks Inn — Hotel in Uttarakhand

The breakfast was pathetic. They didn't have the food available on the menu. Staff were very unwelcoming. No greetings or smile when coming and going to and from the hotel. The room looked quite smaller than the pictures. On the website it was mentioned that Superior room had fruit basket, cookies, bathroom slippers and some other stuff, but these things were not present in the room. Even for the dental kit I had to ask the staff. After asking, they brought one dental kit for 2 people. During the room service they forgot to put the glasses and a water bottle. The room service guy was on the phone with one hand during the service. It happened multiple times with the same guy. The room wasn't properly cleaned the day I checked in. I had the room on first floor with balcony view, but the view wasn't so great because there was a covered lobby area below ground floor which was blocking the view. The guy who was cleaning the car on the checkout day was busy on the phone while cleaning the car even after requesting him to clean it quickly. I asked him to clean with dry towel which was in the car, but he cleaned with a wet cloth of his which put water marks all over the car. He didn't clean the car properly at all and then asked for 100 Rs. The only good thing was that the hotel was at the start of the mall road and there was ample parking space. The room was highly overpriced for the experience and food.

I would have loved staying at this hotel again because of the location but because of the experience I had, I will not stay in this...

One of the worst experiences I've ever had. The hotel is bad with maintenance, the fittings inside the room (towel rack, door knobs, locks) are literally falling off. Adding to that is the filthiness inside the rooms, very dusty and smelly. Then there's the service, the catalyst to the above two disasters. I had to call and ask for providing us towels in the room which the room service forgot to keep, in both the rooms i booked. The housekeeping staff doesn't keep any towels, water bottles in room, the most basic hotel etiquette. The only tolerable thing is the outside lawn and sizeable parking. Last but not the least, they're organizing parties right outside the rooms, ongoing till 3 in the night. They should either have another lawn or open up their party hall for this. Also, their restaurant doesn't have enough space to accommodate even half their room guests and their breakfast buffet had limited variety. Seems there's no interest in genuinely providing service and just keep milking...

It's an amazing place to stay on the hill. Quite near to the market and town attractions. The hotel is on a big property. It has indoor and outdoor seating and swings. Each room too has a balcony with coffee table space. It has good service with helpful staff. The lack of lift is not much of a problem as one can get room downstairs or the takes the luggage to the room. The informal seating or lobby behind the reception near the staircase is very cosy. It has a beautiful Buddha panelling done. The interiors of the place is done beautifully and in a Modern way. It has many halls for dining, and for other occasions. The view is great from the patio with outdoor seating given there. The rooms are well maintained with the availability prompt room service and house keeping at one call.
