I had mixed feelings staying here for a couple of days. Negative Stuff: 1. Make sure you bring one phone with you that has JIO network, no other network works. 2. Wifi is terribly slow in rooms, so making calls over wifi is also difficult. Wifi coverage is good outside. 3. The room wasn't ready till 3pm even though the check-in is fixed at 2pm. 4. Even after calling multiple times for luggage to be sent to room, the luggage did not come. I had to go to the reception and get it myself. 5. There is no parking space inside the property. They are parking cars outside in an open area. 6. No one is properly managing how cars are parked. If someone parks their car in front of yours, good luck getting your car out in half an hour. 7. The TV in the room doesn't work. There is no signal whatsoever. They are not able to fix it either. 8. Sun TV dish recharge is in Tamil so every channel that is aired is in Tamil. I observed this in the restaurant. 9. The resort is heavily understaffed. They are unable to manage when all rooms are booked. You keep calling reception, but they'll come to you when they get time. You have to have a lot of patience. 10. The room service is also pretty slow because of lack of staff. 11. Electricity fluctuates a lot which gets very irritating. Good Things : 1. The resort is located at a serene location which is easily accessible. 2. There is a big, clean pool with dedicated open shower area and change rooms. 3. The rooms are comfortable, spacious and clean. 4. Plenty of greenery and variety of plants decorate the resort nicely which gives a good feeling. 5. Play area is good and has multiple games like foosball, pool, table tennis, treadmill and dumbells if you feel like working out. You can also ask for badminton rackets and cricket bat to play. 6. The restaurant is a good place to be which has hill views in the background and the food is really good. Buffet has multiple great options to choose from. You won't be disappointed. 7. There is a nature walk in the evening which is around 3km around the resort. It takes you to Khichdi river where you can watch the sunset and dip your feet in the river. Nature walk is followed by complementary high tea. 8. Live singing in the evening lights up the mood and vibe of the place. 9. They show a great documentary on Jim Corbett's history which is very informative. 10. There is a complementary yoga session in the morning at 6am which you can attend. 11. The resort is at walking distance to Corbett Xtreme Zone which is a small adventure park with multiple activities. Overall, if they work on hiring more staff and handling things a lot better, this place could become something you really would enjoy staying in.

A Peaceful Offbeat Getaway- This property is tucked away in a truly offbeat location, perfect for anyone looking to disconnect and feel close to nature. I recently stayed here for one night during a weekday, hoping for a relaxing break. While the surroundings were calming, my experience was a bit mixed. Here’s a detailed breakdown of what I observed: Location: 4/5 The location is beautiful and easy to find. The drive is scenic, with lush jungle on both sides — a refreshing experience that really connects you with nature and calmness. Staff Behaviour: 5/5 The staff was extremely polite, helpful, and always ready to assist. Their hospitality was genuinely impressive. Rooms: 3/5 The rooms are decent, with sitting area outside where you can enjoy tea with your partner or family. However, the rooms need some renovation. The lighting was too dim, especially at night, making the room feel a bit dull. Room Cleanliness: 2.5/5 Cleanliness needs major improvement. The entrance door was dusty, floors didn’t seem properly cleaned, and I noticed cobwebs in the bathroom. Towels had visible stains, which was disappointing. Food (All Meals): 4.5/5 The food was delicious and served in clean utensils. This was a big plus and pleasantly surprising. Amenities: 2/5 (excluding the pool) Amenities were limited and not well-maintained. The games room had a pool table and table tennis table, but most gym equipment wasn’t working. It would be great to add more activities, especially for kids. Property: 3/5 Apart from the swimming pool, there’s not much to do inside the property. There are no games or activities to keep guests entertained. A few key issues to note: • Power cuts: I experienced several power cuts during the day and even at night. The nighttime outage might have been due to bad weather, but it was still inconvenient. • Connectivity: Wifi was okay, but kept disconnecting. Also, only Jio network works here — so plan accordingly. Overall: The stay was okay, and I’d say it’s worth visiting at least once. Everyone has their own expectations and experiences, and this was mine — just sharing honestly.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Cloyster Resort and can confidently say it was a delightful experience. The resort's location is simply fantastic – nestled in a serene environment that strikes the perfect balance between tranquility and accessibility. Upon arrival, I was impressed by the warm and efficient service provided by the staff. They were attentive to every need, making the check-in process seamless. Throughout my stay, the hospitality remained consistent, reflecting a genuine commitment to guest satisfaction. The culinary experience at Cloyster Resort exceeded my expectations. The food was not only delicious but also offered a diverse range of options to cater to different palates. From breakfast to dinner, each meal was a culinary delight, and the restaurant's ambiance added to the overall dining experience. The spacious rooms were another highlight of my stay. Thoughtfully designed, they provided a comfortable and relaxing retreat after a day of exploring the nearby attractions. The attention to detail in the room's decor and amenities contributed to a truly enjoyable stay. Additionally, the resort's strategic location made it convenient to explore nearby attractions, ensuring that guests could easily access the beauty of the surrounding area. Whether it was taking a leisurely stroll or embarking on a day trip, the resort's proximity to various points of interest added immense value to my overall experience. Cloyster Resort offers a harmonious blend of great food, excellent service, a prime location, and spacious accommodations. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a rejuvenating getaway with a touch of luxury.

Security: Pathetic. Parking: outside in open, with no one to look over. Food: Good Service: OK Activities: Not well organized. Cleanliness and Hygiene: Worse. Rooms: Pics shown, seems, were taken when it was newly built. Seems they haven't taken care of the rooms since then. Shower non functional, doors and windows locks non functional. They don't even have dental kits or slippers for guests.

Editing to be able below to reply to your response: Sir at initial check in, there was confusion, we understood our mistake between your verbal pre sales commitment and mail sent by you, and had obliged after talking to you. We do bargain for best deal, and I think, we are within our rights in doing so. Regarding payments: ask your manager, even after so much happened to us, we had promptly asked them at checkout , If we had any payment pending and they said no. Regarding refund, for what happened to us , a non staff member entering our room at 2 in the night with phone in his hand when ladies and kids were alone in the room. When we called you, we expected a sorry or a courtesy call from you for apology. But you did nothing. Even though you are in hospitality business, Instead of being sorry for our issue in your resort, you tried to put blame on us and hastily said, "what do you want me to do for this issue that happened." It was at this statement of yours that we also hastily said, you should refund our money. Regarding your advice of being positive in life: We are so positive ask your manager or staff, inspite of all this we had tipped 1100 rs to your staff for their effort, not sure if any of your other reviewers did that. After party, I had personally cheered your staff over mike for their effort(not sure if even you did that). Also ask your guests, it was our group, which was more involved in your gathering and enjoying and activities more than anyone else in your resort. There is a certain decency expected from hospitality businessmen. If money had been an issue, we could have booked much cheaper deals, but we did with your words and your courtesy calls which were there before our bookings. If you want to negate my review, then please negate on below points. a. Security/ security cameras in resort area. b. Parking was not an authorised parking and you are using open land for parking. c. Food was tasty, but there is only one non-veg item served in all the meals. In party meal there was one addition. d. Hiring cheap local dj and untrained local people for staff, while calling yourself a 4 star hotel. e. Rooms: Shower of room was not working. You woodwork in the room is so old that it has withering from bottoms. Can you really say that the rooms look exactly as they are in the pictures you have posted here. If you can, then you need to recheck your conscience. f. With your last statement about door locking, so you do accept that if the rooms door are not locked anyone can barge into the rooms in your hotel. Wasn't expecting such an answer from you. Atleast have some...

I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at Hotel Cloyster in Jim Corbett, and I must say that it was far from satisfactory. From the moment I checked in until the day of my departure, my stay at this hotel was marred by numerous issues and a general lack of professionalism.

First and foremost, the cleanliness of the rooms was extremely subpar. Upon entering my assigned room, I was met with a musty odor and visibly dirty linens. The bathroom was no better, with dirty towels and a foul smell. It was clear that the housekeeping staff did not prioritize cleanliness, and I found this to be completely unacceptable for a hotel claiming to provide a comfortable and pleasant stay.

Additionally, the service at Hotel Cloyster was severely lacking. The staff members were unresponsive and unhelpful throughout my stay. Requests for basic amenities such as extra pillows or towels were met with indifference, and it often took multiple reminders to have even the simplest of requests fulfilled. The lack of professionalism and customer service was truly disappointing.

Furthermore, the facilities and amenities advertised by the hotel were misleading. The swimming pool, which was one of the main reasons I chose this hotel, was in a dismal state of disrepair. The water was murky, the pool area was unkempt, and there was a distinct lack of maintenance evident throughout the property. It was clear that the hotel had not invested sufficient effort or resources into maintaining their facilities.

Another major issue I encountered was the quality of the food served at the hotel's restaurant. The menu lacked variety, and the taste of the dishes was far from satisfactory. Not only were the portions small and overpriced, but the quality of ingredients used was questionable. It was evident that the kitchen staff lacked the necessary culinary skills to prepare a satisfying meal.

Lastly, the overall atmosphere of Hotel Cloyster was far from welcoming or relaxing. The ambiance was dull and uninspiring, and the lack of attention to detail in terms of decor and upkeep was evident. The noise levels were also a concern, as I was constantly disturbed by loud conversations and unruly guests, making it difficult to relax or get a good night's sleep.

In conclusion, my experience at Hotel Cloyster in Jim Corbett was a complete disappointment. The lack of cleanliness, poor service, subpar facilities, mediocre food, and overall lackluster atmosphere made for an unpleasant stay. I would strongly advise against choosing this hotel for your accommodation needs, as it fails to live up to its claims and does not provide a satisfactory...
