With great expectations we stepped into Esha Heritage Inn but we were horribly depressed to find the furniture & all amenities in the room worn out without timely maintenance. Upon our arrival even the water supply was temporarily unavailable, we had to wait for 4 ½ hours to use the wash. Water supply was getting interrupted on a regular period. The hot water facility was available only in the afternoon hours as it was functioning on Solar. They didn't turn on the corridor lights in the morning as it was pitch dark and so difficult to step a foot. All electronic appliances including the TV, Centralised AC even the kettle was malfunctioning and we had to seek help from the technician on a regular interval. As the walls are not properly maintained it was full of fungus. The small teapoy has sharp edges which pose great threat if not handled carefully. Even though they claimed to provide buffet breakfast the menu was not on par with a standard buffet.
Only the tariff matched the 3 star facility, the facilities provided were below normal lodge. The manager Mr. Renjith treated us very well amidst these issues. The only positive is Sea view rooms & the...
Read moreEsha Heritage This has been probably my worst hotel experience in my entire 64 years! First off the advertising for this place is outright false: there is no full service restaurant, no spa or wellness center (advertised in the sign at the entrance to the hotel) and “sea views” are only in 2 rooms, & the view is of 2 empty, trashed out lots, a bunch of electrical wires & a slice of the sea wall & ocean beyond ◦ Electrical-outside (we could see a connection glowing in the main pole), broken lights inside ◦ No A/C control ◦ lots of mold ◦ Broken, worn out furniture ◦ Kitchen? A tea pot, no coffee or tea, & I didn’t trust the bottle of water to try it) and I never checked to see if the teapot worked ◦ Dirty linens: stains. Asked for more linens and received only a duvet, no bottom sheet or pillow cases ◦ Bathroom was extremely dirty: the shower seals were brown & moldy, between tiles moldy, caulking around doors dry & crumbling; toilet seat especially under rim of seat and on bottom when lid raised; when lid closed- behind where attached very dirty. It looks like it hadn’t been cleaned properly in...
Read moreWe had a trip to Cherai the republic day weekend and stayed at Esha Heritage Inn. This place is away from the mad rush of Cherai (weekend rush) but still has access right across the road, to the beach. The staff is exemplary in terms of service. Mr. Gilbert, Jaganathan and Unni all three work hard to accommodate guest’s requests. The Inn only serves breakfast, however there are a few expensive eateries and cafes nearby. We depended on Swiggy for our lunch but during peak hours in the evening, Hotel Lillyput was the only placing delivering. We had a quiet weekend and spent quality time...
