Langdak Homestay — Hotel in West Bengal

We really had an amazing stay with surprisingly a very affectionate family that we were fortunate to live with during our brief stay in Darjeeling. Strategically located along the Hill Cart road, just a kilometre north of the Ghum Station and 4.4 Km south of the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway Station, at such a characteristic bend that no one can ever miss it in day time. Rai Villa is just 600 metres from the Ghoom Monastery (Samten Choeling) and 500 m from Batasia Loop/Eco garden. Dali Gomba (Druk Thupten Sangag Choeling) is just about 2 Km. ||I selected the homestay for its location on the main thoroughfare, connecting Siliguri with Darjeeling and the competitively very low rent. Surprisingly, Mr. Bharat Subba, Madam Meena, Nawada, Priyanka and Binay Subba treated us as their own family members. The three children also took utmost care of us like our own children. We can never forget the rich hospitality of the family that really cared for our comfortable stay with them. We were offered very delicious native homely dinner of whatever kind that we requested them, every day, at extremely affordable cost. Mrs. Meena even went to the extent of packing for us sliced cucumbers with pepper and salt and orange juice for our return journey to Siliguri via Pashupati Nagar and Mirik.||Langdak Homestay is actually a family suit, with a living room and two bed rooms with a toilet, all inter connected. The double beds in both the rooms are provided with heated mattress pads. By sitting in the parlour, one can enjoy watching the DHR Toy train passing by the home through the window. ||Their affection and hospitality are unparalleled and we continue to cherish our memorable stay with them and really miss their...

You are not getting a stay this good for this price. Best value for money hotel in Darjeeling for sure. It's located very close to Ghoom monastery and Batasia loop. You can literally walk to both these locations.

You can take shared cabs right from outside the place to Darjeeling town, Mall Road, Chowk bazar for 30 rupees from here.

The hosts and staff are so polite, generous, considerate, prompt to requests. You are going to feel their sincere and genuine love throughout your stay. Feels home.

Darjeeling isn't very popular for food but the homestay offers decent food, it was the second best place to eat for me during my week long stay here.

A wonderful homestay, not very costly, located near the beautiful Ghoom rail station and batasia loop. One can easily take a morning walk(2 minutes walk) to the batasia eco park and from there can enjoy the morning glory of Mt. Kanchenjunga... The rooms are warm, cozy with modern amenities... Also The room comes with a balcony from where you can enjoy the view of thr mountains while sipping tea or having food... The food also tastes awesome. And each they there is some surprise waiting for you on the dish... It was my first time travelling to Darjeeling. Both di and bhaiya ( the host and the master of the homestay) helped me with details of the place and how to travel... And also he price too is quite affordable...
