Sherpa International Heritage by Anant Hotels — Hotel in West Bengal

We came for 1week workation in Darjeeling and later extended to 2 weeks. 1st week was great in a homestay but didn’t get the next week reservation in the same place as we extended our stay and informed late and they had other booking. As a result we had to find other stay. We found Sherpa International hotel nearby and booked but our first experience on this hotel was bad. Wooden rooms are well made but not maintained well. Wifi(which is very important for workation and we confirmed with the stuff before entering) is week, geyser was not working properly, rooms are dusty, food quality is poor, more striking and heartbreaking thing that happened with us is we called for a small service from the hotel room intercom at 10:30 at night for an extra bed sheet, after a while a lady picked up the phone and said, “don’t disturb at this time”. I have never heard or experience such thing where it is clearly written that it has 24/7 service. All in all, I would give this...

I won't recommend this. This is old property and not maintained properly. Although this is at walkable distance from Mall Road (Nehru Road), rooms are very small and not maintained. Bathrooms don't have exhaust so all moisture remains inside causing continuous wet environment. The cupboards were in very bad shape, you won't even think of using it. Rooms were having spider webs and many walls were damp. We had taken 5 rooms and won't say it was a pleasant stay. Kitchen staff was very polite and cooperative. Food served was good and tasty. There is lot of pigeon problem so windows have to be kept closed all the time. Due to this rooms stink when you enter and have to request staff for room freshner. There are two ways to enter the hotel - one is from station side road which makes you take down the stairs and other is from down hill road which makes you take up the stairs. My experience was good,hotel stf behaviour was too good.10mnts walking distance from Mall.for old age people it ll take 20 to 25 mnts frm Mall. Great hospitality Rooms were nice (we booked one deluxe and one non deluxe but Nikita mam upgrade our room to deluxe,so kind of her) If any one want to bk dis hotel u can ,but the only thing u all keep in mind that because of hill station maximum of the hotels don’t have the elevator facilities If u all r coming with ur parents b careful plz…..because our deluxe room was on 3rd floor u need to climb lots of stairs…. Nikita mam and subol they r tooo good and humble….. Whenever we cll subol he was always there for our help…..very nice boy…. Food was yum but quantity was nomal U can’t share ur food ….
