TRANQUILITY INN — Hotel in Zone 12 Alandur

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming inn, and I couldn't have been more delighted with my experience. From start to finish, it was an absolute delight.

First and foremost, the staff at the inn were exceptionally warm and welcoming. They made me feel right at home from the moment I walked through the door. Their friendly smiles and willingness to assist with any request made my stay truly memorable.

Very quiet, well run, new, modern hotel centrally located and near the airport.

This hotel is located in a residential area without any main streets nearby. There is extremely little traffic noise, basically zero, because it's on a dead end street. The only noise we heard was some truck with the loud speaker selling something in the morning, but never heard a beep, or engine.

It's located only 15-20 min from the airport, and although it's close, we never heard any planes taking off or landing.

The rooms are new, very clean, the AC works great, the showers are HOT, and the bed was super comfortable - one of the most comfortable beds we slept on after 4 months traveling India! And as a major bonus, some rooms even have BLACKOUT CURTAINS!! Sleep as long as you like here. In fact, we could've stayed a few more nights just to sleep.

Staff is helpful and friendly - especially the owner who helped us arrange an early morning taxi to the airport + order dinner from one of their partner restaurants and Pria who takes care of reception and helps run the place. Thanks to both!

The only negative we found, which might have been corrected already, is that in our room (and maybe in others), the wifi only reached in 2-3 specific spots. It worked fast when it reached, but we were never able to get more than 2 bars, and it disconnected every 1-2 minutes. Outside the rooms, like in the common areas, the wifi reached great. This was in Jan 2023 and the owners (who truly seem committed to excellence and guests having a great experience) will likely find a solution to this fairly soon, so I wouldn't let this stop u from booking. Btw, we were in room 103.

This is just a great place to stay - likely one of the best places in this price range in all of Chennai. Brand new, clean, comfortable rooms with great staff....

Do you believe in destiny? I do! And one such example was our trip to Chennai for the admission of our son. We searched hotels near to the university and booked one The Tranquillity inn, but later we found that we mistakenly have booked an accommodation very far from the university. I talked to the owner of Tranquillity inn Mr. Raj Babu for the 1st time. He was ready to refund my entire amount, but after taking to him I felt very good, Mr Raj Babu believed in building relationship more that the business and we decided to stay there only. Upon reaching Chennai we got a very warm welcome and we were very much impressed by the accommodation, it was designed so well, and the rooms were very very clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. We stayed there for about 5 days, and we felt as we are staying in our home. The location is the accommodation is also very good, very safe and it is quite near to airport. There is a walking track 6 km long along with the river, very near to Tranquillity inn, we enjoyed going there in the morning. We had a wonderful experience and I highly recommend this accommodation for anyone...
