This is regarding our stay on 10th-11th October 2021 in Four Points By Sheraton OMR, I would say we had a terrible and worst experience staying in this so called star hotel when they can't even provide quality water bottles. We were provided with four contaminated water bottles in the room. The company of the water bottles were named "CLEAR" Packaged drinking water. These bottles had hundreds of red coloured particles floating inside and it wasn't easy to identify them, and the bottles were not even expired. So by the time we noticed these contamination in the water we had already consumed 2 and a half bottles. We were literally scared to death because we had no idea what it was, it can be microplastic, or blood or algae, we had no clue and our health was definitely at stake after unknowingly consuming the water provided to us.
We then rushed to the hotel reception to question them on this negligence and who is now responsible for this, the hotel managers(Parvez Nisar and KS Arun) along with Lokesh were just throwing the blame on the water company which was highly disappointing since they were not even ready to accept that it was their failure to check and follow safety measures before providing water bottles to guests. This is a highly sensitive issue as it's a matter of health and safety for us. When we asked why they can't even afford a reputed mineral water bottle, the reception staff initially said that since it was a weekend they were unable get on time delivery and hence got this company water bottle temporarily but the manager Parvez in contrast said that it was a 'Sheraton approved' water bottle brand. They were just trying to convince us that nothing will happen to our health. When we questioned them back asking if they will be able to consume the same water, Parvez Nisar tried to act smart and drank some water from the bottle which we felt was a highly irresponsible act. Then they asked us to wait for some time so that they can discuss and come back, and after an hour they decided that they will give the contaminated bottle for lab tests and refund our stay cost. When we asked for which laboratory,they did not even have an answer for that. We demanded them to give us a written statement that they will be responsible if we get any health issues and a statement for sharing the lab test results with us since we knew they would definitely not respond to us once we step out of the hotel. But then they denied that they won't give any written statement and asked us to trust them and promised that they would be transparent in the lab test process and would share all the updates.
We really did not expect this kind of pathetic response and careless behaviour from a star hotel brand like Sheraton. We are literally thrown into mental stress for the past few days to know what was floating inside the water bottles provided to us. These kind of negligence are unacceptable and shouldn't be tolerated at any cost. I even contacted Sheraton's customer care from the hotel which was even more pathetic and irresponsible.The executive collected the details of the complaint and said he has forwarded to the concerned team but I asked for a reference number to atleast know that the complaint has been registered. He then asked me to wait for another 72 hours ( in the meantime people can even die) for the response from the concerned team, and at this point I was really frustrated that they don't really care about the magnitude and sensitivity of the complaint but just blindly follow some procedures with no humanity.
They agreed that they will even bear the expenses of the lab tests from my end if I do any, and if anything goes wrong they are definitely held responsible. We hope that we get a proper response about the lab reports so that we can atleast come out of this grief and not to go through the mental stress of not knowing what we consumed. Read moreI would have loved to give 5 stars if the hotel management had kept up their word. Must say that the rooms, sanitation and every other service was good but not the professionalism for the following reasons:
We actually met the 'then' manager of the hotel, Mr. Dinesh(who is no longer with the management) and had a discussion (on Dec 24 2020) on the final price of the rooms since we booked 40+ over rooms for a wedding in Jan 2021. Post discussions, we finalized the room price and decided to keep our trust on the discussions. We were not supposed to be charged for any extra beds as the guests who come in might or might not opt for it (this was as per our discussion with the 'then' manager of the hotel). Once the wedding was over, the hotel managed was replaced with someone new and we paid the bill without even double checking it since we trusted them so much. Once when we were casually going through the bill for our tracking purpose, we noticed that they had charged extra for each bed opted. After so much of wait, I even sent proof to them searching for the points we had noted down in a piece of paper(picture was shown) during the discussion and even proved to them by showing the date of the picture that was taken. In spite of all this, they said they'll not refund the money and finally after 4 months of discussion with their accounts department, they have not even agreed to refund half the amount of all the beds that were excessively charged. I don't understand on what basis they are refusing to provide refund, it was a mistake on their part for giving us the word. This was/is really disappointing. As a potential customer, I don't have to explain so much but since their bill was paid, they hardly gave us any update and considered our request. So behind the scenes, issue was since the manager had changed, the new manager was not updated correctly on the points discussed with us and hence this confusion. That is not our problem. Our problem is our money that needs to be refunded as we had discussed all this earlier. After going through all this and knowing that the management has not done justice to the word given, I'm not willing to recommend them to any of my family and friends(although I was going to, if none of this had happened). For a customer who has booked 40+ rooms, the excess charge cannot be waived off by the hotel (that too as per the earlier discussion). I feel this is very unfair and I'm not trusting them anymore. Really bad experience with the hotel for not refunding us the money which is rightfully ours!
Total extra beds (5): 5000/- Amount agreed to refund only for 2 beds after 4 long months of the bill amount paid: 2000/- only
Kindly do not call the 2000/- refund as a gesture of goodwill as the actual amount to be refunded as per our initial discussion is 5000/-.
I'm sure this isn't a favor you're doing to your customer who has given your hotel, a business by booking 40+ rooms, but a gesture of unfairness!

Our in-laws traveled from the USA to Chennai and at the airport they forced them to stay in the hotel even though we have all the exemptions. So, staying in this hotel(Four Points by Sheraton Chennai OMR) was completely uncertain for in-laws. It was part of Vandhe Bharath mission repatriation flight.
In laws were not part of Tamilnadu state. They have communication problems. However, on the ground at hotel one of the gentlemen ( Mr. Bodla Nikhil ) If we remember correctly his ID will be O116 and he helped our in-laws from the midnight of 27th Aug to 29th Evening until they reached home safely. He stepped forward on behalf of hotel management beyond his job duties, from beginning of check-in and until in-laws were reached at home, he took care of them as his family members.
My in-laws were very grateful and got some confidence to stay at the hotel and complete their 2 day’s until 2nd test results arrive. As they were in a distressed situation, Mr. Bodla Nikhil helped them in each aspect during their hotel stay and they were very much happy of his kindness, helping, empathy, affection which he showered to my in-laws. He has helped them beyond his allocated job duties on behalf of the hotel.
As we were more concerned, he came forward and provided assurance of their stay and took care of them very well professionally & personally. Mr.Nikhil helped along with his team and provided all sorts of help with what my in-laws needed in the hotel and the information which needed for me to complete their stay.
The below are his unbelievable services which Mr. Bodla Nikhil provided along with his team.
Personal Care from him as a family member to my distress in-laws. Special attention and fulfilling their personal needs during our in laws stay. Whatever he assured prior to hotel check-in on behalf of the Hotel. Mr. Bodla Nikhil fulfilled all the promises beyond our expectations. We can pay the amount but can’t buy love and affection especially in distress situations like what they were going through. One and only Mr. Nikhil full filled that and reached to in-laws’ hearts.
I felt like there are real good people like Mr. Nikhil, the corporate business especially customer facing businesses were running smoothly with high reputation.
The help and service Mr. Nikhil is doing to the society indirectly thought the hotel was phenomenal. I’m sure this review will help the management; the service that Mr.Nikhil is doing enormously will be recognized.
The other team members who helped indirectly were Suneel, Pradesh from DM team & Balaram from Sales team. My special thanks to all of them.
