We did a reservation through agoda and we were charged in the credit card. When we arrive to the hotel the receptionist say us we can't stay in the hotel because we were foreigners and is the policy of the hotel. Such a policy is not written in agoda nor booking.com but aparently it was written in his phone that he was putting on our faces as an only justification. We asked him to get our money back. He said he couldn't because the money was in Agoda and that we had to speak to agoda. He offered cero help with the issue. It took us a few phone calls and a lot time to get the money back. On top when I asked him why he didn't let us know in advance when he got the reservation and saw that our names clearly weren't from India (we did the reservation a few days before), he lied and say that agoda doesn't sent him the names of the people who made bookings (which I know is false since I worked as a receptionist also). When arriving at the hotel, they refused to check us in or cancel the booking. Meaning that we would have to pay for the booking without staying there.
