S Hotel — Hotel in Batam City

Agoda’s reviews feel untrustworthy most likely paid, given the unrealistically high ratings. We feel scammed because the rooms looked NOTHING like the photos shown when we booked. The pictures on Agoda make the rooms appear spacious and luxurious, but in reality they were old, musty, with dirty walls and crawling with small cockroaches! It honestly felt like we are being transported back to the 80s.

We later found out it’s actually a 1-star hotel, but we stayed in 1-star/budget hotels that were far cleaner and more hygienic than this. Every time we entered the room, the smell of cigars lingered. The bathroom was in terrible condition: the shower handle broke off the moment we used it, and we had to place it on the sink. The floor is slippery and sandy - not in a dry and clean condition when we checked in. The provided body/shampoo soap felt more like basic hand soap and didn’t clean our body well. Thankfully, we brought our own. The toilet didn’t even have a seat cover, making it very uncomfortable to use. On top of that, there was no hot water.

The corridors were dim and unsettling, only lit at night. During the day, even with little sunlight, they remained dark and creepy.

The only positives: the reception staff were friendly and helpful in answering our questions about nearby attractions. Parking space was sufficient, and the location is fairly convenient: close to malls like DC, with warung/hawker stalls just across the street. There’s also Indomaret within walking distance for snacks and top-up, and next to it, a shop selling hair accessories where I bought a hair clip.

Other than that, the hotel desperately needs serious improvement and maintenance. We would not book here again. NOT...

Salah banget booking hotel disini, ga banget buat family room, kamar kurang terawat, water heater ga bisa, ruangan ga kedap suara berisik kalo malem orang karoke, minta non smoking room tapi masih bau rokok, sabun mandi dan sampo jadi satu tapi diencerin, pintu kamar mandi udah meleyot, dinding2 udah padah lapuk, aroma tidak sedap, bedcover warnanya udah buluk, ga bisa bikin masak air panas padahal di detail fasilitasnya ada, lantai agak keruh, lampu tidak seperti lampu hotel, kamar mamdi dan kamarnya agak bau apek,ini seperti bukan hotel tapi wisma wisma jadul gituuuu, ga banget untuk keluarga apalagi bawa bayi, aduuhh cukup sekali karna ini dadakan cari yg bisa 2 kasur besar, terimakasih semoga ini bisa jadi kritikan yg membangun dan hotel ini bisa lebih layak lagi karna lokasinya udah...

Kamar nya bagus . nyaman fasilitas nya semua ada . kamar mandi nya bersih kamar cukup luas . kebersiah terjaga .petugas hotel juga ramah" liburan di sini itu paket komplit.bagi yg suka karokean di sini juga ada tempat nya loh jdi gak harus keluar jauh" cari tempat lagi karna di 1 hotel ini udah ada semua😀😀😀 harga nya juga terjangkau deket juga tu dari DC mall . indomaret . Makanan kaki lima di sini tu serba dekat la pokok nya😁😁 rekomen Shotel mantul ...next klo ke batam lagi gak bingung cari hotel ke...
