BPK Chika — Restaurant in Batam City

Shop is hidden behind line of street shops, causing it to be obscured from main road. Right after first line of street shops, take the left entrance then turn to road on you left. You should be able to reach this shop.

The shop looks nice and moderns looking, a bit more cafe-like (which is good). Downside is there are a lot of flies around here. Making dine-in experience not very cozy.

Surprisingly crowded in lunch time. Have to wait for a while for my orders but the wait was worth it.

Roasted Pork is tender and juicy, even the colour makes you crave for it. Vegs, blood, and soup is included. Their plating is simple yet still looks good.

Looking at their menu, they even have pork ribs. Will definitely comeback to try.

Roast pig eatery near Batam centre. The place was introduced to me by a local friend. I was brought there by hired taxi. The shop is among a row of 3 storey shop houses along a small access road, you can’t see it from main road.

I was impressed by the grilled pork rib. Appearance wise it was not appealing but the meat was juicy, tender and the rib bone easily came off with minimal effort. It was tasty without having to dip it in the specially made green chilli paste.

The roasted pork was sliced into small bite size pieces. Meat was on the dry side but taste wise was good.

Magicians. That's what these chefs are. Magicians. I ordered BPK Babi Panggang Karo. Excellent value, and excellent taste. The pork was soft and succulent, and cooked in a very mild sweet sauce, and almost melted in the mouth (this is a good thing). A different take, well executed. Would order again, without hesitation.
