Hotel Jogja — Hotel in Bukittinggi

Don't believe with what you saw,actually the hotel are very very very much older & not nice at all,very gloomy just like a haunted mansion compared with this picture.It is actually only a marketing strategy by the hotel management.Their room standard are very poor.Their cheapest rooms have no TV,Air-Conds,or even a fans!The room are so small,with one doublebeds,one side table & no cupboard to keep your clothes.Just hang it behind the doors.The toilet & bathroom are located outside the room at the end of the hallway and on sharing basis with other guests. The hotel towels,I suggested you better don't use it.At first,I thought it was a rags for wiping the floor! I have booked this hotel online and have paid full payment.I have booked a double room for me & my wife.The picture shown in the internet are a very nice,luxury large room with electric kettle, TV,Air Conds & of course the bathroom with a bathtubs & toilet are all inside the room.The price offered also are quite reasonable & for me it was worth it,so I agree,booked & make fullpayment.On the date when I arrived at the Minangkabau Airport,in Padang,I took a taxi to Bukit Tinggi.The driver have informed me that there are a traffic jammed & the condition are very bad due to an accident midway from Kota Padang to Bukit Tinggi,and he expected that we will arrived at Bkt Tinggi quite late.So I call the Jogja Hotel and informed the front desks that I will checked in today as expected but maybe I will arrived a little bit late due to traffic condition. The front desk clerk,says it is ok,and they will wait for me,since I have paid for the room reservations. But unfortunately when I arrived at the hotel at about 9.30 pm,when I want to check into my room,the receptionist informed me that the booking have been cancelled because I have not check in by time scheduled.After I made a fuss & argued about the matter stating that I have call the front desk earlier and informed that I will be coming but will be late due to traffic jammed,only after that they have agreed to refund me and get me another room but with a much lower price rate,because according to them, all the luxury standard rooms have been fully booked.Since it was late at night & I was so very tired after the flight from KLIA and long 5 hrs,journey from the airport to Bkt Tinggi,so I don't have much options,and have to take the offer.Oh My God,I was very shocked with the condition of the room like I stated before,a very small dull room,c/w 1 doubled bed,1 side table,no TV,no electric kettle,no Aircond,not even an old electric fan!Only 1 electric socket for you, used to charged your handphone.And the bathroom & toilets are located a few metres outside the room at the end of the dark corridors.It was really freaky!That night we both ,just wash our face & went to bed! And I just stay at this Hotel Jogja only for 1 night,because the next day early in the morning after a quick breakfast,I went out to find a room at other hotels nearby.And after we checked out from Jogja Hotel,we stayed at this very nice,cozy and clean hotel for another 4 day/3 nights.This is my experience with Jogja Hotel & I will not ever reccomended this hotel to anybody else.For me,that are the First & The Last Time ever in my whole life that I stay at the Jogja Hotel.Whenever I visited Padang next time,I swear that I will not stay or booked any rooms from this hotel again.I am willing to sleep at the mosque,rather that stay at...

Claimed to be the first hotel in Bukittinggi therefore it’s aged for now either exterior or interior. They provide a competitive price and it’s quite a good deal for SOLO traveler who prefer privacy. I got a lot cheaper offer on walk in price than website booking. The staff is friendly and let me view all the available room first before decision made. Location is excellent, Jam Gadang just few minutes walking distance. Wall is peeling, bedsheets got old stain. Room attached with own bathroom, provided hot shower however the toilet quite moldy and in yellowish. Room including breakfast but is packed food (mine was fried rice), and it’s already cold since the tray just putting outside of room without informing. It's okay.Good place and affordable price for backpackers.Located around/near the Jam Gadang,just walk 10 minutes away in a busy place,i woud say in a centre of the city.Hotel was kind of outdated and 2 bedroom in 1 small room.They dont served breakfast,lunch or dinner.You have to go outside around the hotel which offer you many different local good food mostly minang food like Nasi Kapau,or Itiak Lado Mudo/Spicy Duck,Ampiang Dadiah a dessert worth to try made from Buffalo milk.Hmmm....Overall my stay in Jogja...
