RedDoorz Plus @ Centrium Katamso Medan — Hotel in City of Medan

I stayed here for two nights before going to the airport for my flight. When I arrived I was given a room which was clean, had a warm shower and airconditioning. Unfortunately, it did not have a window. When I asked if there was a room available which did have one it was possible, but only for the second night. The second room was the same as the first except that it had a window and it was in a different building. Unfortunately, when it was 23:00 and I just started to fall asleep the room started to shake. It turned out that nextdoor was a nightclub (mostly for middle aged people). I was curious so I went inside the club. It turned out that although it was not really that full, maybe 10-20 women and 5 men were dancing, the dj decided it was a good idea to not only play the music at the highest volume, the same went for the bass (that is how I found out why my walls were shaking). Also, although the staff were really friendly they were not from the area. Therefore, they could unfortunately not be of assistance when it came to information about public transport, sights in the city and ofcourse did not inform me that the other building was next to a nightclub. The rooms are not terrible, but I would not recommend...

The room was a bit disappointing as it doesn't look as clean and nice as it did in the photos. The room itself was a bit dingy, the walls were pretty dirty, the sink looked like it had water stains from years of use and would get backed up. The room smelled of cigarette smoke, it seemed as if someone had previously smoked in the bathroom.

Shower water pressure was good and temperature got nice and hot but you had to be quick esp if you're staying with someone as the heating went out pretty fast. We didn't like how they handled breakfast nor the breakfast itself. They said it was at 8am but it was often brought to our room around 7:15am which would disrupt our sleep. We don't recommend their breakfast. It came boxed with a ball of rice, some type of side of meat, one day we had egg the other day was a side of tempeh. No juice, tea, or coffee.

Location was good as it's walking distance to the palace, mosque, tip top restaurant, and the mall. Unfortunately I don't recommend...

Dirty. Booked 4 rooms and all were very dirty. The walls got so many stains, shoes stains etc. the bathroom? Lol. I have never seen something like this before, like no one ever clean it. You can see the photos i put here. Very disappointing, the photos in Agoda were very nice, but unfortunately it doesn’t even look...
