JELAJAH BATUKARAS — Hotel in Desa Batukaras

We stayed 4 nights at Jelajah. We really recommend this place because it was very well located and close to pretty much everything in Batu Karas. The room was big, the beds comfortable, and very very clean, so was the bathroom. You can tell they take good care of the property. We were welcomed very nicely by Adi and his parents Rosita & Deri. The breakfast in the morning was very good and they even offered us fresh fruits in the afternoon. There is a possibility to have the laundry done for a good price. Adi showed us the good restaurants and was very helpful in arranging our bus transport to our next destination. He even drove us to Pangandaran early in the morning and his mother had prepared a breakfast to take away! :-:-) We have been travelling for 6 months now and the places where you receive such a lovely welcome don't happen everyday. Stayed at this wonderful homestay for 5 nights.|Nice clean room with air con and bathroom. The highlight of our stay was meeting Adi and his extended family who went out of their way to make sure we were well looked after.|Organised motorbike hire ( cheaper than elsewhere) - provided lovely and varied breakfasts - dropped over mangoes fresh from tree - cheapest Bintang in town! - laundry service - provided transport to Pangandaran for fair price.||The best example of the amazing customer service - a day after we left, the owner of the homestay in Pangandaran got a text from Adi with a picture of a t shirt of mine that had got lost in laundry. Once I confirmed it was mine it was hand delivered to me later in the day!!! 65km round trip.||Highly recommend this amazing place to stay and Batu Karas in general.|Paul...

Our room was really big, very clean with a nice terrace and half way between the 2 surf breaks in Batu Karas. The accom is basic but excellent value for money and much better than other places we've stayed in Java in a similar price range. Adi our host was excellent and went out of his way to make our stay great. He helped us arrange transport, motorbike and surf board rental, all at very reasonable prices. Little extra touches like the free water despenser in the room was great so we could have water (without using loads of plastic bottles) and free tea/coffee whenever we wanted. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Batu Karas...
