SO OVERPRICED IT HURTS.|If you are considering splurging on a more luxury stay, this is not the place to do it. We booked the suite for a week - big mistake. The staff is friendly but limited in their English and incompetent at solving problems. They deserve better training. The manager cares more about getting useful feedback (i.e., his own gain) than actually solving or compensating for any of the issues that we raised. Free breakfast is a nice gesture, but for this price it should have been included from the start. ||For the price, we expected things to run smoothly, but nothing really did - all resources seem to have been poured into aesthetics and optics rather than functionality. A few examples:||- The pool looks very nice, but is functionally unusable during the hottest part of the day because there is no shade anywhere near the pool area. The advertised "poolside bar" does not exist either. ||- The room has no mosquito net, which it really, REALLY needs (cleaning staff leaves doors open, and the doors do not seal anyway). Aside from mosquitos, we had cockroaches in the bathroom daily, and the biggest spider I have ever seen. Also, the geckos living in the roof leave a daily poop gift in the corner of the bathroom and on the bed. ||- There are no free power outlets in the room, which is absolutely baffling. When we asked, they gave us an extension cord that looked like a fire hazard (but, granted, it worked).||- The bathroom is a perfect example of how only the most visible parts of the resort are in a good state. Our roof leaked (which they did, thankfully, fix), but this is not the bathroom you expect in a 100€/night room (see photos).||- The music playing in the restaurant/reception area is clearly audible in the room (and the suite is the furthest away from the source). All day. The only good thing about this is that it sometimes obscures the contruction sounds from next door.||- The food at the restaurant is decent but pricey (but we expected that from a resort restaurant), and portions are small. However, half the menu is not available at any given time, and there was only one vegetarian option (gado gado). Don't bank on them for a packed breakfast on tour days either (unless you love dried out toast with butter and a banana). ||- We tried to rent a scooter through Mohini because we figured doing it through the hotel would be more reliable. Upon testing it (uphill, thankfully) we discovered the brakes barely worked. They had no other one available, so we had to take a shuttle into town to rent one there. They then made us pay for the shuttle (the aircon of which was broken to top it all off).||- I'm more than fine with communicating through Whatsapp rather than having a phone in the room to ring reception, but the response via Whatsapp was often painfully slow (oftentimes so much so that we'd already fixed something else by the time they replied).||- We asked them to print some documents we needed to bring to the Kantor Imigrasi to fix our visa extentions. Even this was too difficult a task - it turned out they printed only half of what we asked them to, which meant we had to rush to a print shop from the KI to get it sorted, setting us back another 5€. ||All in all, it was a very disappointing experience for us. We do not complain easily, and to then be shipped off with free breakfast was disheartening. We're hoping that sharing our experience will prevent others from making the...

For the price, we expected things to run smoothly, but nothing really did - all resources seem to have been poured into aesthetics and optics rather than functionality. A few examples:

The pool looks very nice, but is functionally unusable during the hottest part of the day because there is no shade anywhere near the pool area. The advertised "poolside bar" does not exist either.

The room has no mosquito net, which it really, REALLY needs (cleaning staff leaves doors open, and the doors do not seal anyway). Aside from mosquitos, we had cockroaches in the bathroom daily, and the biggest spider I have ever seen. Also, the geckos living in the roof leave a daily poop gift in the corner of the bathroom and on the bed.

There are no free power outlets in the room, which is absolutely baffling. When we asked, they gave us an extension cord that looked like a fire hazard (but, granted, it worked).

The bathroom is a perfect example of how only the most visible parts of the resort are in a good state. Our roof leaked (which they did, thankfully, fix), but this is not the bathroom you expect in a 100€/night room (see photos).

The music playing in the restaurant/reception area is clearly audible in the room (and the suite is the furthest away from the source). All day. The only good thing about this is that it sometimes obscures the contruction sounds from next door.

Never again.

A nice welcoming place at first glance, with a bamboo canopy framing the view down the hill and the sea and landscape at the background.

Taking a closer look and experiencing the space everything starts to fade out.

We immediately head to the pool but going down the first step my friend slipped and landed on his back and head. Luckily he only had a bruised wrist from the fall.

The steps of the pool are not made from anti-slip tiles. Be very careful.

We did notify the reception about the incident and asked to talk to the manager that was away at that moment. We never got a response from the manager. The receptionist offered some ice for the swelling and he asked us if we could recommend what should be done!?!?!

Erm.... install anti-slip tiles!!!!

Focusing in the room now.

The absence of basic things one would expect in a hotel room that was finished 6 months ago.

There was no phone to even call reception.

We were advised to call a local number from our mobile phones if we would need to contact reception!!! What if we don't have local phone numbers and without internet?

No fridge No WiFi No safe

Only 2 sockets to plug in electronics

We also found feces (small droppings) that have fallen from the roof on our bed

The sliding doors don't close properly. Thanks to this, you will sleepy with loads of mosquitoes.

Going into the toilet area:

• the sink had no faucet hole cover (if let’s say your ring falls in it, forget about it)

• while showering the water would travel 2m from the shower into the room

The floor had an inclination that would direct the water flow towards the room instead of the drain.

The Food: The food was overpriced, indifferent and small portioned.

We had to check out around 4pm and we asked if our breakfast could be packed. They indeed prepare the two portions of Nasi Goreng but they did not pack it even though we specifically requested that the day before. We asked for it to be packed and since they didn't have any boxes to pack the breakfast, they pack it in a flimsy paper. This shows that the kitchen of this four starts hotel is...

After a hot hike, Mohini cafe was the perfect oasis. The cool drinks and exceptional service were a welcome relief. The beautiful setting, comfortable ambiance, and stunning views made me wish I could linger for a few nights.
