What a gorgeous setting and space on the beach. Perfect for sunsets and just to chill with family. Family eat here for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Such a shame the restaurant is pretty terrible. Suggest to go elsewhere unless you want to choose deep-fried food. Everything is too salty. The not-fussy kids refused to eat any of the food a second time. The burger, I would have struggled to guess what it actually was in a blind test. The fish and chips was ok. Nasi goreng and mie goreng were by far the worst of the trip. Fresh juice drinks were weak and watery. Milkshakes were ok too! Good ice cream for the kids. Honestly I regret every meal we took here other than cereal & fruit for breakfast. Absolutely loved this place. Clean and nice rooms (we had the beachfront room) and amazingly helpful people. They tend to keep the beach as clean as possible and all other tourists, just like us, tend to help where possible. Get a kayak, see some fish and then get a big bintang beer on the beach. Magnificent place to watch the sunset. Awesome Only things to suggest; a small shop for essentials (sunscreen, anti mosquito stuff, smokes, lady toiletries etc) and some more diversity in terms of red wine and cocktail servings.....they only had bintang beer, so come prepared if you crave smth else. Food is terrible. Ate there a few times as it’s the only restaurant option at the hotel. The pizzas are just a frozen bread with a bit of melted cheese on top and 1 cut up mushroom. Do not order them. They are also the most expensive option on the menu. Local dishes are better but still not great. Chicken and rice took an hour to make and by the time it arrived it wasn’t even warm. Giving 2 stars just because it has a nice view to the private beach of the hotel, food wise it only deserves 1. It also quite expensive and includes 21% tax and service charge. Management needs to improve this place...
