We actually underestimated the place at first, but when we checked in the room, we love it. We had the beachfront room. It's big and quite a luxury although a bit dated. The room is clean, comfortable bed, has fridge, but they didn't put the menu or information book in the room, so we kind of had no idea of what the hotel has to offer. We had to phone the restaurant and they brought the menu, then we ordered via phone. AC didn't run well, not very cold. The hot water run well. Safety box was good, but we had to call to use it. Location is in the quiet part of the town, and by the sea, which is perfect for us.

We ordered dine in and the food was great. The buffet breakfast was good, too, with a lot of options, while other hotels generally offer just simple breakfast. We could have the breakfast by the sea, which was nice. We were hoping they do more chicken rather than beef in the breakfast menu. Service was a bit slow in the restaurant. For the packed breakfast, the restaurant didn't prepare our food in time so we had to wait and we were almost angry because we waited for too long. The reception had to run to the restaurant which was quite far, because the restaurant didn't pick up the phone in the morning. But the quality of the food is good and it's recommended for dine in, especially, local eateries are quite far and the online food delivery might not want to deliver due to its proximity.

There are 2 swimming pools but it's outdated by the look. It's facing the sea though, so it's okay to dip. A lot of people were using the pool, there were big groups coming in from the government it seems.

To walk to the room we have to be careful because the material they are using is quite slippery. For the elderly, may not be good during the wet season.

The resort is very big. Maybe because it's too big, a portion of the building was not used and from the lobby we could see a pile of rubbish and a neglected area. They should clean it up at least.

Now, swimming in the sea. I dipped in early morning and I didn't realize oil leaks were all around me, and eventually my skin got bitten by a bug or something. From above the view is beautiful, but DON'T GO INTO THE SEA. The sea is polluted badly from the boats at the other end. This is my only biggest complaint from the hotel, please make sure to maintain the water.

The hotel has facility to book private boat, which is a walking distance to its port, very convenient and it will allow us time to have buffet breakfast at the restaurant, which starts at 7am rather than leaving at 5am to catch the boat at the regular port downhill.

If you won't be swimming in the sea, the hotel is...

Unfortunately we had 6 problems in our stay ranging from dangerous major issues to minor issues and had no management follow up. See below details. || • Slow Check In| ○ When we arrived at the agreed check in time to the desk, there were 3 people in front of us, it took 15 minutes to get to be served and then it took 20 minutes for them to get us a room.| • Leaking Toilet - Right away we used the toilet and noticed it smelt, when we used the toilet we found out that it was leaking out of the bottom. The cleaning lady was there and cleaned around it and told us it was fixed. We flushed and showed her it still leaked. We had two young maintenance men who explored and ended up using caulking around toilet which fixed the leak but made the room smell. | • Broken Safe - While waiting for toilet to get fixed we noticed the safe was not working. The same maintenance man, tried to fix it and could not and told us he would be back soon. I waited in the room for him for about 45 minutes and then finally gave up and went to the beach. When I got back it was fixed.| • No Beach Towels - There was no towels in the afternoon when we arrived which happens in lots of hotels but in the morning, it also took them over two hours to get pool towels. | • Dangerous Boat - We rented the hotel kayak to go for a paddle. About 15 minutes into our paddle, I noticed the boat was taking on water, and slowly starting to sink. My wife and I had to jump out of the kayak and swim with it to a dock at nearby hotel. When I pulled it up on the dock, found out that the kayak had a hole in it and was thus slowly taking water into the hull. Luckily we are strong swimmers and were able swim a sufficient distance save their boat from sinking fully | • I called hotel to tell them and despite it only being a 4 minute drive by car away it took over 40 minutes for them to come pick us up. We sat wet in the lobby waiting, soaking wet, waiting for a pick up. | • I explained all the above issues to the manager in person. She said she would look into it and changing our room and getting compensated. For the next two days she did not come back to us and I asked the front lobby 4 times and they did not have any answers. When we checked out still no answers and they offered to comp us free hotel transfer which was not worth all our hassles. | • The beach is beautiful and the price was reasonable if service was reasonable.| • The staff at the restaurant always have a big smile, I want to really love this place and give it a good review but with the above issues and no fixing of...
