Bromo Permai I is a 3-star hotel with various types of room; standard double, standard triple, and family room. It's perfect if you go vacation with a larger group because they have triple bedroom. This is more like bungalows rather than a hotel with each room is seperated and built as house type.
I booked two standard triple bedrooms with breakfast. Room is spacious, has a dressing table, cabinet hanger wardrobe and a shower. I find the room pretty good and comfortable for a 3-star hotel. They give us double blankets for extra warm but unfortunately it didnt help me much with the cold weather. The minus point of this room is that it doesnt have heater as the weather temprature reaches below 8 Celcius during the night. I was freezing to death. I had to wear 5 pieces of sweaters and a coat and 4 pieces of pants. The shower is hot boiling water and there is now way you can shower with that boiling temprature. Breakfast is good, not a buffet, they give you 3 choices of different meals and you can order one meal for each person.
The hotel is located inside the area of Mt. Bromo and very near to Bromo crater. To enter the location which your hotel is located, you need to pay around 15k/person, which i find a bit odd and unnecessary because on top of the hotel payment you still have to pay for the entrance tickets. There are many Jeep rentals around the hotel to take you to Bromo Trip. They cost you around 600k/ Jeep for 4-5 people with no limited time.
This is a very budget friendly hotel with great location and amazing view. It has a few minus points but can be tolerable. Overall if you want a nice ans cheap stay to enjoy Mt. Bromo, you should consider staying at this hotel, and make sure to bring lots of warm clothes since it gets very very cold...
Read moreI stayed here for one night, and I didn't have the best experience. When going to check in my group was told our rooms wouldn't be ready until 2.30pm, despite them stating that check in was 2pm. We had 9 rooms and only a couple of rooms had hot water for the showers, which was a major let down as it is quite cold at the location. When we got to our room there was a few staff burning rubbish just behind the bungalow we were staying in which filled the room with a bad smell of smoke. Furthermore at dinner we had a massive issue with the food. Some members of the group waited over 1.5 hours to get there food only for it to be cold when it arrived. I don't recommend the fried potatoes, which essentially were fries, as they cost 35000 rupiah and you only get about five fries. The potion sizes also varied, two of us ordered the same meal and one meal was about half the size of the other even though we were paying the same price. On the positive side it is very close to mount bromo and only a 30 minute drive to the sunrise view point. Also, breakfast has toast and Asian buffet style food, however the choice is very slim for both evening meal and breakfast if you...
