We came as family in 5 including a senior and 2 small children. We stayed at the hotel in 2 deluxe balcony rooms with connecting door and spent 2 nights during weekdays, checked in on Wednesday afternoon until checked out on Friday before noon (24 - 26 February).
We're interested to visit because of the weekdays promotion so we could save some expenses. The booking came with free entrance to the thermal pools and attractions area during the stay. It's a nice place in large complex with varieties of sightings, attractions, and activities. Even the pools have plenty of options to choose from, from the natural thermal pools inside its own small compounds or outside across the pathways with small waterfalls in the complex, to the pools at the Waterpark with multiple sliders for children and for those with more adventurous inclinations.
There are rental options for cycling, horse-riding, horse-carriage, country car for exploring the huge areas as well as many off-road and outdoor selections. You need to allocate enough time if you want to utilize all those available attractions and activities. It's unfortunate that it's raining throughout the day on Thursday so we could not maximize our stay there. In spite of it, it's quite a pleasant stay overall.
However, we need to mention about the accessibility of the pathways inside the attractions complex. The location of the pools and attractions are quite far between each other so you need to walk distantly on a very challenging up and down terrain. It's even more difficult if you bring seniors and small children with you. The Sari Ater management has to provide easier access for families so we can enjoy and explore the place more. It's no wonder that the pools and attractions located farther from the main entrance were vacant. It's not easy to...
Β Β Β Read moreOverall it's a good resort. The main attraction for Sari Ater is hot springs pool, accommodation should be consider as OK. If you come just to have fun, sari ater hotel is loaded with fun activities. There is hot springs theme park next to the hotel, overall the park is OK, cleanliness i can consider as good (good meant ok to walk around arefoot) but they need to improve their dressing room and shower room. The park has many pool from normal pool and many pool shaped like a fish pond. It's fun soaking in that pool. The hot pool within the hotel I consider hotter than the pool in the park. So if you have plan to soak yourself and to ease your back pain or tired body, sari ater is recommended. Sari ater provide you with a hotel type room and various type of bungalows. This resort is children and family friendly, for couples i believe this resort may give you a romantic atmosphere because they do have bungalow with personal hot pool!!. Hotel room is good, bungalows are also fine.|When I was there 1st week of June '18, i stayed on Adat type bungalow with 2 room, no chair within bungalow (ok for me), the terrace i think is too narrow (no chair too), bath room ok but they need to improve it. Resort surrounding cleanliness is good. Some improvement for the facilities were on progress in the park which i think should be finish before Lebaran on June '18. |Overall I recommend Sari ater hotel & resort, especially if the hot springs pool is your...
Β Β Β Read moreThe best hot spring resort in the vicinity of Bandung. Quiet on weekdays, reasonably populated on weekends, and packed on holiday season. The entrance fee is steep, but still reasonable. The hot springs does not allow outside food as they have their own hotel-priced restaurant.
The water is hot, but not scalding; enough to warm your bones. The pools are large enough: about a quarter of an Olympic-sized swimming pool, but shallow enough to stand. For people who prefers less hot waters, kiddy pools are available. There's barely enough benches around the pool on a somewhat busy day, so mind your belongings. Bathrooms can be improved, though; on busier days, the number of shower stalls and/or changing booths are not nearly enough.
Parking is spacious inside, but on busy days you may have to park a bit away from the bathing house proper and around the cottages serving as the resort. It takes about 1β1.5 hours by car from Bandung proper, and the final stretch after the Mt. Tangkuban Perahu crater may be treacherous due to intermittent lighting and frequent turns on a declining road,...
