My family and I recently stayed at Village of Angels and was very disappointed with our experience.

The property looked tired and worn out—nothing like the attractive photos online. Our room was configured with two separate entrances, a detail that was never mentioned during booking, and this setup proved highly inconvenient for our family with small children.

Throughout our stay, there was no effort to accommodate our concerns. While we were eventually allowed to rearrange the room to include two single beds, this change was made without any refund for the additional room we had originally booked.

Further, the resort claims to have a gym, but again it didn’t match the images we had seen before booking. Images 1-3 attached: how the gym looked in reality. Image 4 attached: how the gym is depicted by the resort on Google maps.

The pool area was equally problematic—the pools were dirty, the water murky with poor visibility, and our children were reluctant to use them. Adding to the discomfort, our room had a persistent mouldy smell, the air conditioning didn’t work properly, and even the outdoor pillows were dirty and worn out.

The only positive thing was the employees. Although they were understaffed, they did their best with what they had.

It does not feel like any of the other places, we have stayed in during our vacation in Bali, nor did it meet the usual service levels, which leads us to think that presumable it is not a Balinese owned place.

Overall, our stay at Village of Angels was far from the relaxing experience we had hoped for, and I cannot recommend this hotel based...

Big complex of bungalows and suites. Our room was nice and clean, AC was working properly and WiFi connection was strong, suitable even for working and meetings. There was functioning refrigerator, so if you bought some fruit it would stay fresh. No safe in the room though. The little private beach was okay, though there were some jellyfish at the time of our stay, which sting - 1-2 hours and the rash was gone, so they were not really dangerous but it could ruin the time at the beach, so it is probably better to wear some protection. Pools were fine, however, they weren't cleaned properly and there was lots of sand at the bottom and some other trash floating around - I would expect that the pool would be cleaned at least once a week but that didn't seem to be the case. Despite of that, the infinity pool was nice to chill in and have some wine during dusk. The whirlpool WASN'T working at all, which really was a shame as I was looking forward to it. Food at the restaurant was okay-ish, but we decided to explore some of the local warungs which turned out to be better choice. The personnel was very nice and friendly and helpful when we needed anything. Location is quite secluded at apart from some warungs there isn't much there in the vicinity - which ensured peace and quiet, but also left you with nothing much to do. The resort offers some trips, but we already had our driver and guide, so we did not participate in any of them. Also, gojek nor grab works in the area so if you don't have a scooter /car or your own driver, there literally is nowhere to go on foot. Overall, our...

Four families each with two adults and two teenagers. Booked into the 9 bedroom Villa. Each room is essentially a hotel room & bathroom in a 3 storey building. The top floor had two large rooms with large balconies overlooking the ocean. Middle floor consist of 4 rooms plus One small room with single bed with own bathroom. Bottom floor two lovely rooms overlooking billiard table, infinity pool and ocean. |Such a great place to connect with friends and teenage kids. Swimming in the lovely warm ocean. A dip in the infinity pool. Playing a game of pool at the end of the day. |The resort is small and tranquil. The pool by the restaurant lovely and protected on a windy afternoon. |The food is fine, I enjoyed my breakfast everyday. We had dinner in house one night and often ate lunch as well. |There are plenty of other options for meals. Good cafe at Oketo. Great dinner at Padang Kecag. |Short walk to Candi Beach Resort if you also want that larger resort experience for buffet dinner with traditional Balinese music & dancing. Easy to find taxi driver and tours near Candi Beach resort, able to book a scuba dive there too. |Did a half day tour to honey farm, Luwak Coffee tasting. Ancient Village and Water Palace followed by lunch at Le Zat beach front restaurant. Great experience |Snorkel trip out to Blue Lagoon also very worthwhile, lots of fish to see. |Wonderful family holiday. Great place to connect with a large group of friends, while still having your own privacy and space. |Staff were lovey. Rooms cleaned everyday. |We would love to come back and would definitely recommend...
