This review is tough to write. My partner and I stayed here for three nights. Our experience wasn’t as "peaceful" or "relaxing" as many other reviews suggested. That said, there were definitely positives worth noting.
The restaurant had great food/good service! We only ate breakfast, which came with our stay. We tried the French toast, muesli, and nasi goreng—all delicious. Each meal included a drink, fresh fruit, and pastries with butter and jam. The space had a lovely view with plants and a water feature.
The bathroom was well-stocked with extras like toothbrushes, shampoo, hand soap, body wash, etc. Towels were replaced without asking - a nice touch.
The water was hot, which shouldn’t be a luxury, but after cold showers on Gili Meno, it made a huge difference in our comfort.
There were complimentary snacks in the fridge, and the hotel provides four bottles of water daily. Additional snacks, wine, and beer are available for purchase.
The pool was clean, and the view from the pool and living room was beautiful. Sadly, a large crack across the main living room window took away from the photo potential. There are no pool loungers, but beanbags and towels are provided.
Slippers were included, and the AC worked great—perfect for hot sleepers. The bed was firm and comfy, and the pillows were plush.
Bedrooms are separate from the kitchen/living space, with access only through the pool area. Not ideal in rain, but nice for privacy and those traveling with children—one of us could sleep while the other made coffee or stepped outside.
There’s private parking behind a security gate, and possibly 24-hour security (though we weren’t out late to confirm).
This area (and much of Bali) isn’t walkable. When reviews said this, I expected people didn't want to spend 15 minutes walking. In reality, I don't think it is particularly safe to do so. Roads are narrow with no sidewalks. Convenient location as Melasti Beach and restaurants are close by car.
Things that could be improved:
A few nails were sticking up on the pool deck—not sharp, but a hazard. Pool lights are automatic, which meant needing blackout curtains and alarms.
There should be more floor mats at doorways to absorb water. It rained often, and walking through the wet deck area to get to the rooms was slippery. My partner nearly fell. The slippers weren’t safe in those conditions.
The cabinet under the kitchen sink smelled awful—like sewage. Staff replaced the trashcan, which helped somehow, but we avoided opening it for most of our stay.
Small nitpicks: The listing said bathrobes would be provided—there weren’t any. Wall decor is sparse, making the living space feel a bit sterile. Only one shower had a shelf, so body wash, shampoo, etc had to go on the floor in the other.
Now the worst part: there is a house across the street blaring music at all hours. Super loud and heavy bass. Our last night he added a microphone and began shouting and singing. Our villa (#101) was directly across from him, which made it worse.
We spoke with the staff, and the manager responded kindly. After trying to speak with the neighbor, she agreed the noise was disruptive and validated our experience. She was compassionate and clearly cared that our stay was affected. Unfortunately, the neighbor ignored her, and the music only escalated. She mentioned alcohol was involved, so we don’t blame her for not pushing further.
Still, we wish we’d been moved or part of our stay discounted (though we didn't ask for discounts as that is not our style). Most villas seemed available (April 27–30), and if we’d known this noise wasn’t a one-time issue, we would’ve asked. But we trusted staff would’ve offered if moving was best.
I really hate writing a negative review because without the noise, this would be a peaceful, well-located stay. The manager did try to help but unfortunately the neighbor issue impacts guests. For us, it’s too risky to return without knowing the situation has changed.

Read moreBooked this villa for a couple of nights as our first hotel in Bali on our honeymoon. The layout of the rooms are very unique with the private pool as a focal point. Generally, they are well cleaned and presented nicely but we did notice dirt mainly in bathrooms around the toilet and a leak under the sink that seemed to be around for a while. The breakfast each morning was fairly good and plentiful. We got the scrambled egg option, cornflakes option and french toast mainly. When you pick a breakfast option, it comes with fresh fruit and pastries/bread but on some days my meat that was accompanied with the egg was cold. Each day they are ready to clean the room and change the towels if you would like and they message you to confirm. I don't usually change the towels daily but it's nice to have the option. Overall, it was a decent experience but there are two things to note. Upon checking out (before 12pm and leaving the room in good condition), one of the staff members/waitress kept giving us weird looks as we left. Not sure what for, maybe for nothing but it did make us feel like we had done something wrong. The second is that they have a neighbour opposite them that plays really loud music in the morning (usually from 8am) making it really difficult to...
