Your treehouse dreams are coming true there! Spending some nights in a real treehouse is an experience that you won't find anywhere else in Bali. Nestled in the middle of the Bukit Peninsula (Ungasan) it is the ideal starting point to explore all the beautiful beaches and temples that the area has to offer. Uluwatu and its surrounding restaurants and clubs (ie. Single Fin) is just a 15 min drive away. To explore Green Bowl Beach or Omnia, it takes you even less time.

The tree houses are very spacious, each one unique in its own - roots & trunks being a part of the interior. Every tree house has its own bathroom, space to hang your clothes, WiFi, privacy from the other houses and a wonderful porch to have your morning coffee at. I loved the little details ie. a complimentary Bamboo toothbrush & organic toothpaste. The staff was very welcoming, attentive and made sure I got everything I needed.

The whole hotel area is very lush, you basically wake up to the sounds of the jungle. They also offer morning yoga classes in a wonderful open yoga shala, again view of the trees. The yoga classes are for all levels and include Hatha, Vinyasa & Flying Yoga - all conducted by the lovely Wayan (who also teaches at The Yoga Barn).

Another great addition to the place is their own wellness area. Not only are they offering acupuncture, Traditional Chinese medicine, but also Phytotherapy and a wonderful Kobido massage by Rebecca. It was the first time I tried it and I was blown away. Kobido is a Japanese facial massage that is a natural face-lift aimed to reduce wrinkles and to rejuvenate the skin. The result was wonderful, I felt super refreshed and relaxed - highly recommend trying it out!

Also, there is a pet rooster running around - very gentle and cute!

It was definitely a highlight during my stay in Bali and I recommend checking...

My stay at The Roots was not as peaceful and serene as I imagined it would be. However, it wasn't the property fault, it was surrounded by multiple constructions sites that started around 7am till sunset. This was very loud with construction workers being able to peak in.

Location was great and easy to get to anywhere in Bukit area. I chose to stay here because it was also at the end of the road where it is away from the traffic.

The service was not the best experience. You have to make sure you have their WA number as the reception is often unmanned. Eka, the reception, offered me yoga at 4pm that I drove all the way from Savaya just to find him forgot to tell me that the session was canceled. So please recheck and reconfirm yourself with the staff so not to be disappointed.

The property is truly unique. I got the biggest unit and it had a nice layout and lovely natural light. Unfortunately, the bed was covered in the termites secretion, as seen in the video. Waking up with bed covered in the termite debris wasn't a good experience. It was just 1 beam above the bed that was invested in the suite. Mosquitoes are natural part of the ecosystem and the electric repellent they provider didn't work. In the case of sensitive skin, high deet repellent...

We had the absolute best time ! We love our stay at roots tree house . The management and staff are friendly , kind and go beyond and above . Food is great and very reasonable priced compared to anything we’ve experienced in Uluwatu . The place itself . Is paradise ! You are in a tranquile atmosphere while only 5 min away from restaurants , etc . You also have Beaches nearby, pharmacy , beach clubs , day resorts if you want to spend a day in an infinite pool with cliff views and many people while staying in a very private small cosy surrounded of nature and breathing the freshest air , earthing and connecting to the ground ! Just incredible ! I loved this place sooooo much I already want to come back and I haven’t left yet. Beds are ultra comfortable, linen is quality ! You are assured to have a great night sleep ! Great job Ana, Roy and team ! We love it ! We also had the experience of tao Accupuncture with Alex ! He was great ! My son had an ear Pain and alex treated my son with so much patience and care ! I can tell he has great energy and great knowledge ! We are just grateful to have the opportunity of experiencing such wonderful place ! Thank you sooooo much to Ana and all her team for making our holidays so special ! Carolina ,...

I had a pleasant stay at Roots Tree House in Uluwatu, Bali. The grounds were beautiful, the treehouse provided a very unique living experience and the amenities were satisfactory. However, I was disappointed to realize that my treehouse was not equipped with air conditioning, when there were other treehouses that did have air conditioning. Breakfast was also not included for my room. Considering the amount I paid for my 2-nights stay there, I believe I should have gotten an air-conditioned room with breakfast. It certainly isn't worth it for the price I paid without AC or breakfast. The grounds are well-maintained and the staff are kind and helpful, but I will highlight that the treehouses are not necessarily in the middle of a forest, rather it is a property in the middle of a regular neighbourhood surrounded by lots of trees. As some of the other reviewers have pointed out, there was a lot of noise from construction as well which kind of ruined the ambiance. It was also a 20 minute drive to restaurants and beaches. So things to consider when booking the treehouse!
