One of the best hotels in Makassar. Health protocols are carried out properly such as hand sanitizers at several points, body temperature checks, partitions at the reception etc. All hotel employees are very friendly. The check-in process is fast and friendly. My request for a high floor room was fulfilled plus a city view. The hotel facilities are complete, a large parking area (outside and in the basement), a large and luxurious lobby, a super large and famous ballroom in Makassar, a gym, a swimming pool on the high floor, a restaurant, a bar, etc. Entering the room. The rooms are spacious, clean, big and soft mattresses, wide screen televisions, work desks, large windows. What I like about this hotel is the alertness and attention of the staff. They can fulfill all my request. My room had a problem with the electrical contactor so it made a noisy sound, I called the receptionist then the technician came. The second problem is that at night I just realized that in the room there was no light near the window (which is supposed to be there) so it made the room a bit dark, I called the receptionist again and they immediately brought a lamp to put in my room. The problem was resolved even though in the morning a new problem appeared where the electricity went out and turned on again (about 3 seconds in duration) and repeated every 30 minutes which made the contactor noisy again. I have raised this complaint to the receptionist. Continue to the restaurant, the food is varied and all delicious, there is also Coto Makassar which is very yummy, you must try it! I also order in room dining, the presentation was good, delicious and arrived quickly. Other facilities are a swimming pool, quite long and the view is amazing, you can see the beautiful sunset and sea. But I haven't had time to try swimming, just take pictures here hehe. A little suggestion that the elevator to the basement parking should always be available and guarded by security so that hotel guests don't have to walk to the lobby every time they enter the room and so they can go directly from the room to the basement parking. Excellent Staff Services - Top so far in Makassar during my stays here. Very Personal Touch i.e. VIP treatment like. They will look into it as to make your stay important.
Excellent Breakfast Services - Food choices, tastes, varieties and quality are best to my tastes.
Smoking Facilities - this is the best hotel that still provides with utmost convenience & respect. I find this very significant to my stays.
Space - Great Parking Spaces, Lots of Ample Spaces in the lobby. Very spacious.
B. Need Improvement Points:
Water - HOT Water problem is a very serious matter; it takes longer to get to the right temperature and you cannot get the extreme HOTNESS even you turn to the maximum point. Secondly, water pressure is not strong enough. This is a serious problem when you need to have a good comfortable showers early in the morning and also at night.
Lighting - Room lighting is very insufficient; too dimmed by normal hotel's standards. More luminance is required seriously.
Air Conditioning - takes quite sometime to cool down the room to my required temperature; approximately 2-hour minimum. This must be improved.
Bed - Length of bed should be longer for tall people; I find this is an issue for someone who is nearly 6' tall sleeping.
Bathroom - Needs more amenities such as: a Hair Dryer unit, Hand Towels, & Toiletries conveniences.
Room - Needs Class Standards for Minibar Facilities & fresh stocks. Secondly, also needs upgraded room status for tagging manually the Do Not Disturb / Please Clean My Room. Actually, should be upgraded electronically by standard.

July 8-10 i have reunion at Makassar and have choosen four Points by Sheraton Makassar during my stay at Makassar. As a member of SPG I already have a high expectation for this place. But from Check in until my check out, the hotel turn out to be far from my expectations.
Check in
It is more than 10 minutes to check my booking code, from my SPG number and my email, but unfortunately they could not find my name in their system. at the end, they do a new booking. totally, I have more than 20 minutes at front desk.
Room
I have booked room with City View from SPG which they could not find in their system, then with their new booking i get a room in the middle with no view. i am so tired to make complains but with a very tight closet with glass (my height 175cm and my feet stuck to the glass), finally got to make complaints. They said they will look due to full booked room. At the end, they got the room then i should moved to 6th floor with the same view, i dont want to make another complaints i was tired with my 4mo baby with me
The light in the room was so dim.
The bed was comfy but dirty

my order in room dining either at my room or at the EITER was take so long time for the performing. have been called the guest service said I will cancelled my ordered. This is not acceptable.

same as Check in need long time to waiting my bill and others. I have requested a rent car from Hotel but they did not tell me that the car is third party rent car which hired 15 minutes from hotel. I was in hurry to go to the airports, at the end, I cancelled my order than change to taxi.
