This place used to be on the top of my most frequently visit Suki restaurant list. Unfortunately, on my last visit, I experienced few unpleasant things. I remembered asking the table attendant to exclude 1 plate of a menu as I thought we had picked up many Suki plates yet they still charged it in the bill and none of us could remember whether we ate it or not. Also, I asked the price of beverage in a pitcher and the attendant just brought the beverage pitcher directly without telling me the price. Being a Suki lover plus I was with my family so I decided to just do the payment and left. Berencana mau cari makanan berkuah yang hangat dan mantap? Sukiyaki, Shabu Shabu, atau Steamboat bisa memuaskanmu.

Ketiga menu ini sama-sama disajikan di dalam panci yang terus dipanaskan di atas kompor. Dalam pancinya berisi kuah dan kita bisa menambahkan sayuran dan dagimg sesuai dengan selera kita. Cara penyajiannya tidak menunjukkan perbedaan yang terlalu mencolok, bahkan isinya pun hampir sama.

Tiga hidangan ini sebenarnya berasa dari negara yang berbeda. Konon katanya Shabu Shabu dan Sukiyaki itu berasal dari Jepang, sedangkan Setamboat dari China.

Perbedaannya juga terletak pada kuahnya. Shabu Shabu menggunakan kaldu dari kombu yang rasanya tidak berat. Sukiyaki memakai kaldu yang dicampur dengan kecap asin serta manis, sehingga membuat citarasa Suki terasa gurih manis.

Kalau kuah Steamboat biasanya ada campuran minyak wijennya yang bikin rasanya makin unik.
