The location should make this a winner but its the only quality. Hotel is in bad need of repair. Paid for a cottage (oceanfront) for 3 nights, left after 1 hour. Dirty, outdated, desolate, unkempt. More info below. Gardens are unkempt, dead grass, weeds growing over everything including drains. Hotel facade has giant loose sheets of tin flapping in the wind above the "pool" area. Cottage door did not lock properly, floors dirty, small bugs crawling around the inside. Old wooden furniture combined with some random "new" parts to try and seem new. No fridge, at all. No ice or any way to keep drinks cool. Cottage Bed creaks with the pain of the 1970s when it was likely built. Pillows are so sweat stained they reek of 4000 previous sad travellers. Exposed electrical wiring. Bathroom on the surface looks ok on closer inspection sink covered with mould and again insects. Old hotel room welcome book appears blood stained and from 90s. Staff appear to no longer have any care and mindlessly wander around, dont open doors or help with luggage. i cant blame them i am sure they hate the state of the premise and clearly the owners are to blame for such a situation. No customer service, when i checked out after an hour staff were not surprised. The taxi that took me there could not even leave for some time as there was no guard to open the gate and supposed ticketing machine was broken. Please note im a frequent traveller to makassar, for Idr 400.000 a night you can get so much better, this is not normal. I think the hotel is unsafe and unhygenic, i would not stay there overnight and its in a sad state of disrepair, such a pity as it is a wonderful location. If purgatory was a hotel this would be it. Its stuck in some strange time warp with no...
Read moreWe stayed for 1 night in a seaview room after a few days trip to Selayar and Takabonerate. After staying in some remote places, we expected to have a pleasant stay in the hotel. Unfortunately, the experience we had, told otherwise. ||||You can see that the hotel could be very famous and majestic years ago. But compared to other new hotels in the same area, it fails to keep the competition running because it was poorly maintained. The interior in the lobby looks old, the same as the furniture in our room. The towels they provided were worn out. The bathroom faucet was problematic. The shower curtain was dirty. And the sofa pillows smelled bad. ||||Breakfast was not satisfactory. They provided only ala carte breakfast with fried rice and porridge as the options, served with fruits and bread. It took about 30-45 minutes before our food arrived.||||The staff were very kind tho. They were friendly and polite. The hotel is also located in an area where you can walk around to look for some hawker food. So, it's another plus point. However, with the price we got, it felt like we could have stayed in a...
Read moreRoom rate 1. Cupboards are frail, tables and chairs are worn out even the lounge chairs are full of mold. The bed was pretty good, it's just that I couldn't sleep because of bed bugs, until my body itched. Room cleanliness, I give a value of 2. The room floor is dusty, the bed sheets are full of spots. According to hotel standards that have been eaten by age. The bathroom, I give a value of 4. Bathroom facilities need a lot of improvement, starting from the sink, bathtub and shower. Maybe I have a bad experience for room 202 if you check in, avoid this room Breakfast, I give it an 8. Breakfast is good, although the variety is limited. Keep it up
