Hotel Makassar Mulia — Hotel in Makassar

I prebooked this hotel on Agoda prior to arriving and a printed out receipt of payment. My flight was 3 hours late, so ended up arriving at around 1am. With the very loud club kicking next door, I tried to check in. I'll give culture/language barriers a break, but when I finally takes to someone who spoke a little English, he told me the "machine was broken and we don't have your payment". I showed them repeatedly it was prepaid on my credit card. They made me pay cash for the room, and I was so tired I just did. Once I got to my room, I looked up my payment, which was there, went down and demaned my cash back. They asked to see the actual credit card and ALMOST SWIPED IT AGAIN! I had a bit of an argument with them and told them it was between them and Agoda because someone has my money. They gave me my cash back, but came up to the room (it was now 1:30am!) to tell me they called Agoda and all was well. BS. It was a scam all over. Otherwise I would of given it okay ratings. Das Zimmer war geräumig, sauber und schön eingerichtet, das Badezimmer gross, die Klimaanlage funktionierte einwandfrei. das check-in und generell das Personal freundlich.||Tip: unbedingt ein Zimmer möglichst weit oben buchen. in der achten Etage war der Club noch laut hörbar und der Sound war erst um 2.00 uhr vorbei. Wen Musik in Indonesien, dann immer volles Rohr.||club: naja.... der präsentierte Wein ist völlig überteuert, wohl taxpflichtig. Das Bier wurde in einer Karaffeserviert, obwohl wir nur eine simple Flasche Bintang bestellt haben.... jedem das seine.||Frühstück: wenn sie gerne Reisgerichte zum Frühstück haben, dann ok und grosse Auswahl. Hotel avec chambre simple, sdb laissant à desirer mais propre. L hotel est bien placé. Le gros point positif est le bar au 5eme etage qui offre de bons concerts, meme en semaine. Au moins la chambre n est pas loin lorsque l on termine la soirée tard... Staff accueillant et...
