We enjoyed our stay here, photos displayed are the reality of it. A little taste of paradise with a few downsides unfortunately. As an experienced traveler, I would suggest to people who stay here to come here to enjoy the place and facilities, putting this amount of money (for Bali) is a shame if you just sleep here. You can easily relax and enjoy, sip cocktails by the pool and have a lovely lunch at the restaurant. I would say its surely the best place on Nusa Ceningan. Come out of season as it can be quickly crowded and fully booked. Here below is our experience : We planned to stay 2 nights, we arrived early the first day, to enjoy the pool, knowing check-in would only be later in the day, but no rush for us, its the holidays right ? ! When it was time to check-in we noticed we were given the worst bungalow (number 1), someone had to take it I can understand, but seriously I wouldnt recommend to anyone to stay in this bungalow, the result was no sleep and a horrible headache (thanks to the chickens, dogs barking all night - bungalow is right by the entrance). We kindly asked the staff to change rooms the next day, which they previously agreed to before changing their minds... Should I really mention how upset I was about the whole situation ? We knew people were checking out so no excuses. Why should anyone sleep in that room, why not have it as a dorm ? As they also have dorm bungalows im sure youngsters wouldn't mind as much. We had to beg (which I hate doing as a customer) to change rooms and finally got a decent one, with a lovely view, peaceful and quiet. The whole situation felt like I owed something to someone, how bad is that when you pay to come stay here. The 2 day stay ended up being mostly upseting for me, not all that of a holiday. The cherry on top regarding this, we were told to check out as early as we could as they had other guests coming... Remember when I said we didnt mind to check- in late ? That this was a holiday ? I could not believe what I was hearing... I wish I was just more respected as a customer. Maybe its just common sense to me.
The other down side I would mention is the free entry to public to access the pool. A note says that outsiders should pay a min spend, but looking at what people had I dont think that was truly respected... Not to mention the tourists coming for photos, actually taking a seat on the deck of your bungalow just to pose for the pic. Should I mention the drone flying on top of my head for 20mins ? And finally, the best of the best, spending our last relaxing hours with kids playing and jumping around (I have nothing against kids) but I paid to come here and relax, its a small structure with 10 rooms, this pool is no place for kids, parents you should consider all this when you enter a place like this, think of others. You only come for a few hours, but consider how important these few hours can be for others.
I cant say I came to the best season (end of August) but this should not happen anytime in the year.
I would like to finish saying the staff were very friendly and kind, always with a smile on their faces. So you cant blame employees for this holiday issue, but hopefully the person in charge will read this review and make sure my words will count for future clients.
I didnt know weither I would come back here, tortured between the pros and cons, and finally considering all the details and the price, my decision will be to not come back here.
I am just an experienced traveler, looking for the best in everything, so my honesty might not please everyone but at...
Read moreMy boyfriend & I just recently stayed at Le pirate & we had a really lovely experience! The staff are lovely, friendly & extremely attentive. The beach huts are just that, cute little beach huts! It’s a great experience, although you need to expect that it is a beach hut & not a luxury resort. The rooms are gorgeous & very cute! They are small and just what you would expect from a beach hut, (don’t expect a spacious room) and get cosy in an awesome little space for a few nights!
The only down side is that there is no hot water & in order for the water to flow in the shower you need to continuously hold down the button on the shower (like outdoor beach showers) it makes it a little hard to wash your hair. Like I mentioned previously you need to remember that these are awesome little beach huts & to expect that they are only equipped with the basics but they have everything you need to have an enjoyable time! The huts are very picturesque so make sure you take plenty of snaps of the huts & the surroundings as Le pirate is super instagrammable! With beautiful decor all around the beach club & with an amazing ocean view from every room it truly is an unforgettable experience!
If you want to experience something completely unique & are of the adventurous kind definitely go & stay at Le pirate on Nusa Ceningan island. It’s a beautiful location with many beautiful sightseeing places to visit & cute bars. Le pirate also has a nice little pool complete with a bar with a great variety of drink options. I highly recommend you stay at Le pirate beach club for a few nights to experience something...
Read moreIf we forget about our 1st 24hours here then everything would be almost perfect. After arriving early, the host gave us the awesome news of an early check in, we were excited to finally get some chill couple time. Unfortunately we were given Room 1 which was clearly the worst room, especially for a couple as there’s no privacy. Everyone can see into the room, shower didn’t work well, closest to the road, right next to the restaurant & music, roosters in the morning and loud scooters driving past, bathroom felt uncomfortable having to go toilet with people right outside parked on the road (it’s an outside toilet and shower which we normally love). After asking if we could be moved to another room, we were told we couldn’t. The room was so bad we said we’d look for somewhere else to stay. After some time, the host reluctantly shifted things around and gave us room 6 for our last 3 nights. It was so much nicer, we would have thought a couple staying for 4 nights would have been given one of the better rooms as most other guests were only staying 1 or 2 nights. Apart from the initial night of dramas the staff and host were lovely although we did feel like we were trending on thin ice the rest of the time. The pool, sunset, cocktails, food and hotel in general was really boutique like and comfortable and value for...
