Went from Sanur to Lembongan then Ceningan via Yellow Bridge. They are still building the jetty in Sanur, Lembongan, Ceningan and Penida as everything was closed down due to Corona, so the jetty were not finished until now. Hence, if you are planning to go to these islands with speedboat (thats the only way btw), be ready to get wet as you have to dip into the water to get into the boat.
For us who bring two kids along, it was pretty hectic and uncomfortable esp for the kids

I wish there was a little more effort or interest from staff and captain (and the multiple other snorkel companies who doc twice a day) to educate snorkelers in the water on grabbing plastic near them and not swimming in marine life’s faces, trying to touch them or interfere with feeding time.
More details below: Staff filming encouraged us to get very close to marine life, sticking the camera in their faces & down holes to get content scaring things away. We swam in a lot of plastic watching Manta-rays at one stop with no concerns from staff while the rays swam around, mouths open, some eating plastics accidentally. One Ray had plastic string stuck on it’s cephalic fin (no concern or effort to get it off). Your usually told ‘if you see any plastic just bring back to the boat if you can manage’ however I’m also aware the waste on the island is an individuals responsibility to burn so that may be why. Thirdly the Manta’s are also there to feed on schools of fish & due to how many snorkelers were there in big groups swimming in their faces, scaring schools of fish away, interfering with the rays path, making them go different ways, some snorkelers accidentally kicking rays I didn’t see one feed. As a diver it was concerning for the longevity of these animals as I know how important it is for the delicate marine ecosystem to not have feeding times disrupted by humans (it can effect population control/ starvation/ breeding & migration) and concerning that clueless snorkelers weren’t educated to swim horizontally as to not kick sea life or take some...
