We loved our stay at The Jingga Villas. 7 bungalows situated in the most BEAUTIFUL gardens around a gorgeous pool. It is a family run business- 2 Ketuts, Wayan and Komang spend their days ensuring their guests have the most perfect stay possible. Anything you need to know they will do their best to help with. Any minor issue will be dealt with immediately.|The bungalows are beautifully maintained. They are cleaned daily whether there are guests booked in or not. The beds are so comfortable complete with mosquito nets. The outdoor bathrooms are lovely. We were in one of the pool-side bungalows which are slightly bigger but we also had 1 night in a smaller one and there was very little difference. We would spend our days lazing by the pool in the most tranquil setting imaginable. The restaurant area is lovely too and Wayan works very hard in the kitchen creating delicious breakfasts as well as meals from the menu later on in the day. |The family take such pride in their business, they make you feel like you’re staying in a 5 star resort. If a leaf falls from a tree, it is quickly swept up from the impeccably kept lawns and any dead leaves are removed from the plants and trees daily. The family have the perfect balance of helping in every way they can without being intrusive. |Towels and bed linens are changed regularly and are of good quality. Pillows are excellent and tea/coffee and water is replenished daily. The bungalows are cleaned daily to a very high standard. The air-con is great and the deck outside is a beautiful tranquil place to sit whether you need shade to read a book or a cold beer in the evening. The prices in the restaurant are very competitive and food delicious.|The location is very quiet, most people rented scooters but we were happy to walk everywhere. You can walk to the yellow bridge in about 20 minutes and there are plenty of little bars, shops and restaurants along the route if you feel like stopping for refreshments. Walking the other way to Devils Tears and Dream Beach took a little longer but again, it was an interesting walk with refreshment stops and shops along the way. There is a stretch of rough road immediately outside The Jingga leading to the main road which some people may find a bit challenging especially at night. We would use our phone torches on this stretch when returning at night. It didn’t bother us too much but is worth mentioning.|We booked for 3 nights and extended our stay to 12. By the time we left we felt incredibly relaxed and serene, it was hard to go back to the real world. We would, without hesitation, recommend The Jingga Villas to anyone looking for peace and tranquility in a beautiful...
Read moreWe stayed here for a few nights in December 2017. We arrived at The Jingga Villas a couple of weeks after Mount Agung on Bali had erupted. However, that event still caused many people to cancel their trip to Bali and Nusa Lembongan. As a result, we really noticed that the island as a whole and the hotel were relatively quiet. Our hotel was pretty much empty, except for one other booked room.
As for our stay, I thought it was fantastic. The rooms were beautiful and clean, with a nice outdoor bathroom. The staff was amazing, friendly and helpful. The food at the hotel restaurant was quite tasty as well. We had all our breakfasts and lunches at the in-house restaurant and we also had dinner there one time. The staff offered to cook us some fresh seafood, which was really good. The pool is great and the gardens looked well-maintained and clean. At the time of our stay, there was ongoing construction work on two other rooms, so it was a bit noisy at times. The villas have a great view of the nearby sea, but I do have to mention that another resort is being built right next door and that it will completely block the sea view from The Jingga Villas in the future. That said, I would still recommend a stay here. The place is a little bit remote, but perfect if you’re looking for some peace and quiet. And many of the bigger restaurants have a free pick up and drop off service if you...
Read moreWe caught the Rocky ferry from Sanur to Nusa Lembongan, then traveled in a small truck with bench seats in the flat bed. (This and scooters are the only transport on the island.) The drive was entertaining, as jungle foliage whipped around us, and small children waved from their spot on scooters. It may seem chaotic, but works entirely in harmony, with everyone being patient and working together. Also the change of pace from Sanur is astounding, and you immediately feel Nusa Lembongan has more authenticity.
At the end of a rocky track in the tropical jungle, is we arrived at a veritable oasis. The beautifully calm setting and wonderful staff make your welcome and stay a treat. The garden is sublime and the pool inviting, making you want extend your stay. The sound of water from the infinity pool edge, the birds singing and the sound of gamelan from across the water, all add to the ambience.
Breakfast is perfectly fine to set you up for the day. With the midday heat of Indonesia, we've always gone walking and exploring soon after breakfast.
If you're looking for a fancy resort, don't come to Nusa Lembongan. If you want to unwind and be pampered, this may become your new favourite destination.
I can't recommend Jingga Villas enough. The entire experience...
