Kanva Ubud by K Club — Hotel in Pulau Bali

Wow. Just... wow. This place is beyond compare. From the moment you arrive and check in you know you're somewhere very, VERY special. We were given a delicious tropical drink on arrival while the amazing staff arranged a buggy for us to be whisked away to our home in the Kanva (aka the Sensual Hanging Tent). Given we arrived after dark we could only see hints of what was to come. ||Arriving at our tent our jaws DROPPED. The pictures simply don't do it justice. ||A beautiful hot spa covered in flowers greets you, a rope hammock for you to lounge on, and next to these you have your own pool with ample lounges and seating (as well as a very comfy swinging day bed just over the pool).||Heading inside the tent you find a massive bed complete with mosquito nets all round (not that we encountered many while we were there surprisingly), beautifully appointed and tasteful decor, and a truly stunning outdoor (and very private) shower which allowed you to bathe as close to nature as you could imagine.||Waking the next morning we could now see over our balcony, and it was stunning. The most beautiful view of the jungle, with nothing else in sight other than a few kites flying in the sky. It is a truly peaceful place to be.||All of this would be amazing on its own - but the staff are truly something else - they truly go above and beyond to make your experience special and I would love to thank our butlers (yes, you have butlers!) Reno, Abde, Dewan and Perdi - you were all absolutely impeccable in your level of service. We would also like to thank Ari, Ayu and Novpa for diligently answering all our queries on the extremely helpful Whatsapp chat they create for all of your queries. And we would also like to thank Chacha, Rista, Merry and Desak for providing us with the most delicious foods and beverages it has ever been our pleasure to try (seriously, try the dadur galung - it's DIVINE!). Biggest disappointment!!! I will start with our arrival time when we were told to sit and wait until we receive our keys. So, being tired after a long flight, we asked for some water to drink…and the answer was:” oh, you need water? the way they welcomed us was extremely unexpected and rude not to offer even a glass of water…when in all 5 stars hotel we went, we were welcomed with lemonade, or tea, fruits…here nothing…not even water as we were in a station waiting for the train… We booked one sensual hanging tent, infinity pool, which is around 600$ per night, and the surrounding area is absolutely beautiful, but all the utilities were broken and not clean and if you need anything, all the communication with the reception is via whatsapp and the services are very poor and slow. We order tea at 8:30 and we got it at 10:00. Anything you need must be done through whatsapp and they ask for a confirmation after you ask or order anything and if you don’t have your phone with you to check all the time, you don’t get the order… So in stead of having a nice, relaxing holiday, we had to chase them on whatsapp all the time for any small thing as they don’t have a receptionist and having many guests, it is maybe difficult to answer to all of them, unless if you order a big expensive dinner, they will all come, even the manager to pamper you…this was very sad to see and that dinner left us with a bad taste… When we booked for the massage, they immediately sent us the offer… When we had the special dinner, the 2 people who served us were extremely kind and gentle. My wife and I had an absolutely incredible stay at K Club Ubud — without a doubt the best hotel experience we’ve ever had. |From the moment we arrived, we were touched by the genuine warmth, kindness, and attentiveness of the entire staff. |Everyone, from the housekeeping team to the restaurant staff and front desk, made us feel truly welcome and cared for throughout our stay. |The manager in particular went out of his way to ensure that everything was perfect, and his dedication to guest satisfaction was remarkable.|We stayed in one of the premium tents, and the experience of sleeping in the heart of the jungle, surrounded by nature, with all the comforts of luxury, was simply magical. |The room was spotless, beautifully designed, and offered the perfect balance of comfort and immersion in nature.|The quality of the food at the hotel’s restaurants, Akar & Kabana particularly, were another highlight — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented every time.
