Overall I give this resort 4.8 stars and round it up to 5. I travel a lot and as part of my holidays, I usually look for what I consider a luxurious resort. For example I’ve stayed with Lux Maldives, Patina Maldives and Keemala Phuket.

I selected K Club as a lot of the experienced and older resorts looked, well, old and a bit run down from pictures and videos. With this resort, it looked more boutique which I prefer, their luxury glamping pool tent which I stayed in looked interesting with fantastic views and the resort seemed to have a good balance of trendy, being modern but peaceful.

The weekends are good for those looking for a bit of nightlife which you get at Kabana restaurant. The rest of the weekdays are more peaceful so be mindful of your timing.

The villa was huge and well kept. The pool was extremely large which was nice. It’s not a heated pool so the dive will be chilly but you will adjust in seconds with the Bali weather.

Note the tent only has an outdoor shower. We are in the jungle so an indoor shower as a second option would have been great. This was one reason I struck slightly slower and not a perfect five star.

Staff are very experienced, super helpful and keen. Especially the butlers. They are always smiling and keen on giving information whether it’s about the resort or the surrounding area. They are also really quick to answer questions.

The only thing I didn’t enjoy was the food which was the main reason the score was pulled to 4.8. Overall I give the food four star as it started bad but got better. The hotel was very quick to accommodate my preferences and suggestions which was great and the dining experience improved significantly. They definitely make some of the best Indonesian food I’ve ever had and I hope they add those meals to their menu going forward. I’m generally very critical about food as I cook a lot but I’m confident many guests would enjoy their menu. But do try to explore something new. You are in Bali, so try Balinese food. Enjoy the flavours and their wonderful culture and have your own food when you head back home. You won’t be disappointed. This goes for breakfast as well. Personally I would recommend the chicken Soto broth with noodles. A small and light portion so nothing too heavy.

You can’t use online taxis like Grab and Gojet to leave the resort (it’s fine to enter the resort). Initially I thought this was strange so I enquired a bit more. You will notice a previous reviewer claimed it was silly and raged about it etc but the resort said this was to ensure local drivers can earn from this and all the money goes to the local drivers. For such a reason, I was happy to use the same driver for all my taxi needs. It’s really not something to complain about especially given it’s not expensive at all!

There are alot of tours as well. We didn’t select what they normally offered so instead we were given a driver with a half day charge to allow us to go exactly where we wanted.

The bed was also really comfortable and the pillows as good quality. The room is spacious so you don’t feel restricted.

Drinks are perfect if you love cocktails. Some of the best we’ve had in a long time. They are beautifully crafted and don’t let down on the display. I’ve put in a picture of one of the cocktails.

The spa was great. We concluded our stay with a 90 mins Balinese. I understand that there are a lot of cheaper spas in the city but honestly you get what you pay for. We’ve had both experiences and K Club’s Mekar spa have excellent therapists. When I fall asleep during spa, you know it’s good. Hope I didn’t snore.

There’s alot I can say but let me leave it there. For something instagrammable but actually delivers on quality and service, this is the spot. They are definitely a top five star resort and worth a visit. Do some research and make sure it’s best for you. I can’t imagine anyone not enjoying their stay however especially if you communicate, ask questions and get the help you need.

I would definitely recommend. Well done to the team for making something...

My wife and I would like to sincerely thank the whole team of K club and especially Ngurah for organizing for us a beautiful holidays and a wedding of our dreams. ||We spent 6 unforgettable days in this hotel. ||We had an opportunity to live in 2 different villas. Both were 3 bedroom ones with private pool. And both have been really outstanding. The villas are very spacious, nicely decorated. Furniture is new, the space is clean and tidy. Water pressure is good, hair dryer as well; TV was somehow smart - it was possible to connect a phone and stream own contents; on top all the necessary cooking utensils, nespresso suitable coffee maschine, fridge, water dispenser, iron desk and iron - everything was there. We even got provided with a steaming maschine (upon request). Pools are big enough for swimming. The green nature surrounded us everywhere - the real plants arrangements in bedroom and bathroom are a highlight of those villas. And of course, the free standing bath tub is a big love of any girl. ||The WhatsApp group established by the team of the hotel allows them immediately react and take care of any wishes of the guests. Starting from ordering a buggy, finishing with room services. That is a genius idea. We felt ourselves extremely well treated. ||Originally we had concerns regarding the location of the hotel - hill area. We where traveling with parents and it wouldn’t be easy for them (health wise) to manage going up and down. However the buggy service was totally eliminating any reason for worries. Super fast, always available. ||The hotel offers 2 restaurants. Both are nicely decorated. The breakfast is served a la carte. One may order as many dishes as they wish. All are fresh and very quickly served to the table. Each one is exceptional in terms of taste and presented in a sophisticated way. |In the afternoon the hotel serves complimentary alcohol and non alcohol cocktails/drinks - kind of a happy hour - very nice touch. Speaking of dinner, we tried different options. Once we have been enjoying pizza - super well made. Another day we took steak - that was a real show. The chef cook brought the steak personally to our table and cut it with a special sword; the quality of meat was a top one - it was melting on the tongue. The other day the team of K club organized a BBQ in our villa - very diverse variety of meat, seafood, veggies and salads. No one was left aside - regardless of diet and food preferences - all one could imagine was there. And on top of it we got served a delicious desert. ||The hotel offers as well the main pool (cascade of the pools), which looks very nice. But honestly, the one in our villa was enough for us and we haven’t been using the main one. ||As mentioned earlier, those holidays were special for us as we had a wedding ceremony on one of the days. The preparation took over half a year. The whole this time Ngurah was our key contact point. He went with us through all the smallest details, helped to make right choices, and based on his profound experience, advised the optimal solutions. The most important - he understood exactly which event we were dreaming of and he made it real. The flower decoration was particularly very important for my wife. It overcame all our expectations. Stunning freshly cut white roses. The arch, the standing arrangements, bridal bouquet and wedding corsages have been exactly how it was expected - and even better. The wedding cake and the wedding dinner deserved at least a Michelin star. The live violin music was a special touch. The whole team who guided us through this day were top level professionals. Of course things happened that haven’t been planned - the pouring rain that lasted the whole day and health emergency of one of the guests. But the team (photographers, team of k club, GM) was working so aligned, that the bride hasn’t even been realizing that there were complications. ||All in all K Club is an outstanding top league resort that offers individual approach to every guest. We hope to come back to this place again in the...

K Club Ubud is a boutique hotel beautifully placed in the great rich, green, vivid jungle.

*Facilities: all good style quality, taken care of daily, however not new. You walk (or ride) around in lovely corridors of green paths to get to places. Sometimes must take couple of steps to get to the main pool. Gym is well equipped to do a good workout if one needs. Enough of equipment for that. One remark. We don’t understand why they choose not to use an area above Kabana restaurant, which is designed to be a bar and place to have drinks and hang out. There is no such place at the hotel, which is the only downside. If you want to have a drink, you need to use one of two restaurants, but if you don’t eat, both places are not perfect just for drinks. The mentioned place is abandoned now, but you can walk through it and you should to see a better view to the juggle. There is also a pool there (I believe so) on this level, but no-one uses it.

Service: all staff is extremely helpful, there for you via what’s up chat. There is no phones at villas. They have a system of communication via chats, which makes everything quick and done properly, from reservation bookings to extra need in the room or buggy ride Housekeeping. For me it’s part of overall service and I don’t mention it often as I believe good to very good should be a base. Here they do an extra effort. Everyday, they would neatly fold your cords of charged, set up toiletries nicely and put away your pajama. At night there is a turn down service of course.

*Atmosphere: in general public places the hotel proposes ambient club music, creating nice modern vibe, sometimes music is quite loud, but that’s the point. The quality of music is very good anywhere, so it is not an accident. They have lasers on the jungle making a nice effect at night. At Akar restaurant there is many projectors creating nice images on the ceiling and big face in a central part of the place. At villas obviously you decide how you want your time to pass. We usually chilled in the big open area by the pool, rather relaxing. Some we heard take advantage of it to have a little party. You can hear some sounds from time to time from other villa, but it happened once, i our case. I’d describe private areas as extremely calm and quiet in general, like no-one was there.

*Food: there are two restaurants. Akar for breakfast and dinner and Kabana for lunch, pool food and also dinner. Both places have good quality food, no questions asked. Akar is better in terms of overall experience, service and atmosphere wise, better known also for outside guests. Breakfast is a’la carte in Akar and also good. Portions are small, but you can choose many dish, so you’ll not be hungry.

One thing is unbelievable. I don’t know what they do and how they do it, but being in a jungle one would expect mosquitoes and other annoying bugs to bother you. They take care of it so well, we had no bites. Respect. You leave the place and right away you are a subject of insects meal…

Summary. Absolutely great place to spend 4-5 nights, feel the atmosphere, admire the nature of the juggle, chill and spoil yourself with good food. The place good value for money for a European, as although it is not cheap, delivers very good quality at all...

Romance and Luxury K Club, Ubud K Club has two categories of accommodation - private villas and sensual glamping tents. I celebrated my anniversary and stayed in the sensual glamping tent,. An experience above my expectations. The tent included a sensual inclusion package, which surprised me, and I had no idea what this offering was until I arrived. I loved the luxurious flower bath Jacuzzi (in the open, on our private, spacious deck) amd ever thing from the welcome heavenly chocolate mousse to the other surprise inclusions. HIgh tea was brought to our tent in the afternoon - and requesting a gluten free option was no problem. The other inclusions I will keep secret, so you too can be surprised, but suffice to say, the whole experience of this weekend away allowed my beautiful partner and me to flow into a romantic stay and really come back to what is essential in life - we are here to give and receive love. Stunning views of the jungle stretched out from our glamorous walled canvas tent, defined with luxury at every corner. Waking up to an orchestra of bird song was a delight. The resort is an architectural marvel made of bamboo, and the seven separate pools that line the jungle edge allow you to connect directly with nature. Floating in the resort pool, with the jungle cascading down into the valley below, I watched a water dragon slowly slink along a branch framed by a symphony of cicadas singing in unison. This is a truly stunning resort. However, the best thing about our stay was our assigned butler's incredible attention to detail and the ease and grace of his beautiful Balinese way. The discretion and refined service we experience was on par with any world-leading luxury hotel. Communication is speedy and efficient as you are invited to a private WhatsApp group at check-in. Anytime you need the tiniest of things – candles, an extra charging chord, a shot of liqueur, anything at all, your request is taken care of by text message and then hey presto, it shows up with lightning speed. Liqueur was not needed this weekend, as the complimentary bottle of Negroni served as a delightful addition and lasted all weekend. The pre-selected playlists on the iPad further enhanced the weekend's mood, and then there was dinner at Akar Restaurant! This was a fine dining experience on another level. I highly recommend the seared Jimbaren Barramundi fillet - a charcoal speciality which was cooked in the most delicate flavours and presented on the most unique table setting I have ever seen. A sparkling black and midnight blue table setting, complete with a mirror placemat. Very novel! As the evening morphed into being, a surprise light show sprung into life, and laser lights projected mapping and made the panoramic jungle views come to life against the dark night sky. As we dined, the lights danced in the tees and entwined nature with technology, imagery, brilliance and dazzle. This was, without a doubt, the most indulgent weekend ever. Romance, nature and luxury. Grab your partner and just go. Date of stay: December 2022

Respect. You leave the place and right away you are a subject of insects meal… Summary. Absolutely great place to spend 4-5 nights, feel the atmosphere, admire the nature of the juggle, chill and spoil yourself with good food. The place good value for money for a European, as although it is not cheap, delivers very good quality at all aspects it should.
