DO NOT stay here if you're here to be up early to see the dolphins! As there is ZERO sound proofing, I feel like I might aswell be laying in bed with my neighbours! One snores so loud the north of bali can hear them and the other side texts all night long! They offer ear plugs but what good is that to me when I need to hear my alarms at 5am?! Currently a very tired guest sat outside at 11pm wondering when I will ever sleep :( they say they chose beauty over sound! But no one would see the sound proofing behind the pretty walls! Hotel is not on trip advisor and I can see why! I wish my neighbours would read this note beside the bed as maybe they would try and be considerate of other guests! But loud drunk Australians can't control themselves.
Edit: update from a very tired sleepless guest at 7am. This hotel makes you aware that fisherman early in the morning could wake you up and that is no problem at all! I've slept through fireworks before now I am not a light sleeper at all! I was not worried about fishermen some distance from the hotel making too much noise. It's the neighbours on the side of your walls the hotel should worry about! In total I got maybe 30 minutes sleep. A constant snore from the neighbour did not end all night every 60 seconds there was a loud snort! Upon searching for this hotel online, there is ZERO warning of the fact there is no sound proofing had I known this I would never booked here I expect to feel like my neighbours are a room apart not in my bed and the worse part a much nicer hotel comes up when you even try to find this one! Leading people to believe they may be staying in a much nicer place! I had to get my Google maps up and pin point my location just to find this page to leave a review. A hotel in my thoughts are made with sleep in mind am I wrong? I must be because I just paid to listen to other people in their rooms and not...
Read moreMy friend and I were booked to stay with Lovina Beach Houses in mid-March 2020. The holiday had been fully paid for through Airbnb and was subject to strict a cancellation policy. I guess when they say “strict” they mean “strict” because they were not prepared to refund our money even for the global pandemic of Covid19.||||The Australian Government issued an international travel alert the day before we were due to arrive at Lovina, prompting my friend and I to cancel our trip. I contacted the property managers who were very understanding. They advised their preference was for the booking to be deferred to a later date but also stated that a refund could also be given, referring me to Airbnb. I proceeded to cancel and requested a refund based on exceptional circumstances. The owner was short in their reply stating no refund would be offered due to their strict cancellation policy. I sought the intervention of Airbnb who advised that the refund was at the discretion of the owner. The owner could have provided a refund, they chose not to.||||I love Bali and I’m a frequent visitor. Sadly I know a poor review hurts the Balinese staff more than the owner (non-Balinese) but I cannot support or recommend this property based on how unreasonable the owner has behaved during the trying...
Read moreI had booked this property through Booking.com|We checked in to our Villa. It was very traditional and a weird design. It was hot as no welcoming air conditioning had been turned on. It has an outdoor bathroom and kitchen. We saw two mice in 5 minutes so that was enough for us as the rice paddy was behind the villa. Management did show us another room on the beachfront, however the second bedroom was upstairs with no toilet so that didn't suit 50+ year old ladies. I was very disappointed that management were worried about what review we would give them. They weren't that concerned about us. One of the female staff members was not that pleasant. We checked out, and stayed elsewhere. We were so happy that we did. If you like traditional old style Bali, then you may like it. But if you don't like mice,...
