Amazing. We LOVED this resort hotel so much.

Everything was so very welcoming upon check in - the staff were all so genuine and happy. We very very lucky to be upgraded - I have no idea why, I was just thrilled though.

Our suite looked out over the pool and the ocean with a large balcony.

The air con was super chilled, which we needed! The bed was huge and so comfortable.

All the bathroom facilities were fabulous and spotlessly clean.

Not enough coffee or milk in our kitchenette, but this was minor.

Fresh water stations around the resort made it easy to fill water bottles.

The pool was beautiful each morning - it did feel a tad too warm in the afternoons. The sea was refreshing and the beach clean.

The pool and grounds team kept the whole pool area immaculate; with smiling pool side bar service.

(My only criticism re the pool was guests that left towels on loungers. My thought is that if a guest has finished their pool time, give the towels back to the pool staff, so loungers can be used by other guests?)

The resort sits a 10 minute walk into the main area of Lovina. There are beach warungs in easy walking distance.

The resort also runs buggy/golf carts from reception to anywhere you want to go locally, which was so convenient and cool. (You just walk back or send a WhatsApp and they will come and collect you.)

The gardens and grounds were lush and so very well maintained from dawn to dusk. The whole property was incredibly well maintained and clean, showing such a huge sense of pride from the staff.

The staff all were a stand out to me: without exception all genuinely happy and smiling. They all had such friendly attitudes. There were a lot of trainee staff too, which made me feel like the resort was engaged in great opportunities for the employment and true development of local young people. The staff were all immaculately dressed in uniform , which indicated a great sense of professionalism. They knew our names within just a few hours and were so authentic in all their dealings with us.

Breakfast was buffet and was fresh and plentiful. Barista coffees were easy to order, as were eggs and pork bacon; along with a wide variety of Indo; Western and European brekky favorites. Service was fabulous, and welcoming.

We did a sunrise dolphin watching tour from the resort, which was amazing: I’d do it again in a heartbeat.

The restaurant in the evenings had a wide and varied menu. All food was so very freshly prepared and tasty. One evening was a bbq buffet which was perhaps not great value, but still delightful.

The restaurant overlooked the beach and was comfortable with beautiful lighting and nightly live music was lent a really happy vibe.

Overall this place was a stand out stay for us to enjoy exploring Lovina.

I would stay again if I’m lucky enough to get back up to...

This was our first visit to "The Lovina" and I sincerely hope it won't be the last! We transferred from the Ubud area and the 2hr plus drive was very scenic. |We booked a 5 night package which gave us a Deluxe Beach Suite room overlooking one of the pools and just a few steps from the beach. Also included were the transfers and some meals including daily breakfasts and a light afternoon tea, massages at the spa, daily cocktail and a dolphin viewing tour.|Our room was truly outstanding, a lovely lounge area, full kitchen, separate bedroom and large bathroom and patio. Comfortable beds. Everything we could have possibly required was provided, unlimited fresh drinking water with refillable water bottles, mosquito repellent, nice quiet ceiling fans (we are not at all fond of aircon) and the use of free kayaks, SUPs and snorkeling gear. The kayaking and stand up paddle boarding was heaps of fun, you could easily get out far enough to view the coral and fish in the amazing clear and very warm water. Hint - early morning gives the best conditions, no breeze and lovely calm water. There is nightly live entertainment which was really enjoyable and certainly not intrusive or too noisy as we'd worried it might be. One of our dinners was probably the nicest meal I've had in a very long time. |The Chefs Special BBQ main and home made coconut and lime ice cream and lemon tart dessert get 10/10 from us. There's a nice beachfront walk and lots of local shops and restaurants nearby. A free shuttle is provided for those that aren't keen to walk. |I thoroughly enjoyed relaxing massages and the dolphin tour too despite the very early start! Watching the sun rise was a real highlight!|The grounds are lovely, and everything is kept spotlessly clean by the dedicated team. In fact all the staff went out of their way to provide outstanding service and we appreciated every moment of it. I most certainly hope we can visit again and would happily stay much longer...

The location was in a very scenic spot, it was quiet, and didn't get much rain while the rest of Bali got more rain, so I was very happy. The only problem is that its a 2-3 hour drive from the airport with a lot of winding around corners and going up and down hills - true torture for someone like me that gets carsick. People just need to be prepared for the drive, but it's worth it. If you're the type of traveler that wants nightlife and partying, then stick close to the airport in Denpasar instead. If you want a relaxing beach vacation like me (still plenty of alcohol at the beach bar), then this is your place. The food was absolutely superb for lunch and dinner! The breakfast was average, more western style, but maybe I'm biased because I'm not a breakfast person anyways. You can always just sleep in and go for lunch. The pizzeria's pizza was perfection, and all other menu foods I tried, I loved. The service was great, everyone was very kind and helpful. On my last night when I was feeling too ill to eat, the restaurant staff made a free pot of tea for me and I was so grateful. The resort also called a doctor for me, which I didn't even know was an option, and I was so grateful.Lastly, the resort was stunning! Everything made of stone felt so safe and clean, everything was family friendly, there's two beautiful pools, and the beach was unparalleled. The beach bar & restaurant was perfectly situated so you can watch both the sunset and the sunrise and you can relax while your kids or friends play. Lots of outdoor space to relax, and the resort provided a free shuttle service to nearby places. There was even a gift shop that also sold sunscreen and aloe vera. And the accommodations! The bed was wonderful, the room was spacious, all amenities provided, and the shower...

My girlfriend had here birthday on the first day in Lovina and as a surprise I wanted to arrange a romantic dinner. When looking on the internet I came across a top 10 on TripAdvisor. Here was stated that the Lovina hotel was one of the best. (Top 3) Because this was also our booked hotel I contacted the hotel by email. Within hours we received a very personal an friendly email with the price and 4 different menu's. Because the price was a bit higher for Bali, ($65 pp) I was a bit in doubt but I never had any regrets!! We were greeted by Mrs. Riris, guest relations, and were personally checked-in and escorted to our hotel room who had a complimentary honeymoon preparation! Shortly before subset we were again greeted by Mrs. Riris who guided us towards the bar for a super cocktail and she made sure everything was ready when I decided to go to the dinner table. Just before sunset was recommended by Mrs. Riris and she sure was right! The hotel staff created a perfect atmosphere! We had a personal table just out off plain sight from other guest but still being part of the hotel. We had a very kind waiter and a 6course menu. Also a complimentary birthday cake was presented by the chef. To top things off they also had my girlfriends name writen down in flowers around a bonfire. Pricewise probably more expensive than other places in NORTH Bali but still no match to the prices asked in Benoa and other tourist areas and don't forget Europe! I can really recommend to let Mrs. Riris and her super team surprise you and your girl/boyfriend/partner/... I would ABSOLUTELY go here again! Love Jos & Xenia (Stayed here in November 17)

There is so much I love about this resort and will want to return with the family. Friendly and sincere service - from the front desk to the wait staff to the cleaning staff and beach assistants.. everyone smiles and checks-in on you. I'm practicing my Bahasa and they wait patiently for me to form basic sentences, guiding me too. There are 2 pools, both are immaculate and lovely temperature to swim in. Borrowed swim shoes and snorkelling gear to swim out. There are nice corals and some fish to be seen but you'll need to ask where to swim to. Depends on the tide, clarity of water and weather. I did yoga every morning (complimentary with your stay) and that took place in the central garden area. You'll see staff members clearing and sweeping early in the morning as they pick up the best flowers for the spa and rooms later. Easy walk by the beach to Dolphin statue in the morning (when it's not too warm). I made use of the free shuttle service to take me to places during the day and got to chat with the drivers who are knowledgeable and attentive. I was given a lovely, quiet room with a splash pool, overjoyed with the setting. Finally, my advice is for guests to learn some Bahasa or Balinese; and give tips and tip often. The immersion in culture is worth it.
