This is my first time stayed at this hotel. I came from jkt. I arrived at 12.30 PM. I handled with Ms. EVI. I asked her can I early check in?? She said check in at 2.00 PM. I said, i knew it but sometimes some htl if the room already available they accept us to check in. She said she will make priority. She gave me voucher welcome drink and asked to the resto. So I went to the resto and asked staff for coffee at lobby because my husband wait there. He said, I must drink at resto, can't at lobby. I asked why?? That's the rules he said. I asked my husband to wait outside of resto. It's already at 1.35 PM. I saw there's no que anymore at lobby. I went to the lobby and asked again my room. Still prepared she said. When I across the lobby, I saw a women drink a juice from resto. I confused, staff said can't drink at the lobby but I saw someone drink it at lobby. I went to resto and asked manager in charged. She said, manager still outside. I went to the reception and asked of the manager, she said manager still around. I complained to her, how come 5 star htl but there's no one manager in charge?? And the funny thing, this htl got best award medal and put it in receptionist. Suddenly, ms. Evi gives me a room card. I said to her, ohh so I must complained first to get this card early. She said, no, It just ready. Not long, Mr. Rendy came and introduced as a manager resto. I asked him, why I can't drink at lobby, but the other guest can drink at lobby. I put my finger to the lady and her glass at table of lobby. Ur staff said I must drink outside of resto because of the rules htl. Why u make a different between another guest?? He just said sorry, and will help me to bring my luggage to the room. And he asked me to eat at resto. I said to him, how come 5 stars htl and got best award htl but in reality the service is very bad. U make a different between one and another guest. As I knew, every htl must have a manager in charged. So I don't have to argued with staff. Then, He said just went from mosque. I said to him, as I knew sholat jumat finished at 12.30. This is already at 02.00 PM. Useless u prayed to God but in some case u lied to every guest. As I knew I booked 5 star not melati htl. The service is very poor I said. Then, I left.I stayed 1 night. I went to jkt by trained at night. So I asked to the lobby is it possible to late check out at 1.00 PM. She said ok. Before check out, I want to hairdry my hair at my room. Suddenly, the electric turn off. I panic and said to my husband to call room service. We waited but room service did't came. So I bring all of my luggaged check out. In receptionist, I asked why the electric turn off when I used hair dry? She said, hair dry only can used in toilet room, can't outside. Why u didn't tell me when I got check in?? She said I supposed to call the lobby not room service. I said to her, this is not my htl. U worked here, meant u have to explained to the guest the situation of this hotel. When I'm waiting at trained station, I just realized I forgot to bring my jacket. I phoned to the htl at 19.30 PM with Mr. Kevin and he said right there some stuff including my jacket with househeeping. Oh my goshh, I leaved htl at 13.30 PM and there's no staff from htl called me to tell that I forgot some stuff there.Honest staff is more important than...
Read moreWas staying here last month in one of suites room at the 8th floors, already got bad experience soon as I just arrived at 14:00 (I booked a room to be ready asap at 13:00 on tht day & it's written on my booking list), they told me tht my room isn't ready yet & suggested me to wait while grab a welcome drink at their restaurant & they'll go bring my room key soon, & I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR AN HOUR with my big & heavy luggages which in my hope I wanted put it in my room asap bc you knw as a traveler it's extremely tiring to bring your big luggages everywhere all day & you just wanna put it in a storage asap, there were no one from the receptionist coming to evn tell me the situation like why my key room isn't being delivered yet, until I saw a staff tht met me at the front, I asked to her is my room ready yet bc it was supposed to be ready at 13:00 & now it's 15:00 as I thought it's not normal bc as the hotel standard, room cleaning must be started at 12:00 & finished at 13:00, she said the same, it's usually should've finished at 13:00 & she went to the receptionist to ask my key & finally I got my key at 15:30 like WTH evn my welcome drink got finished in less than 10mins why do I have to wait for in total extra 2 hours with my big luggages. . Extremely disappointed bc it was my 2nd time sleeping there ( the 1st time I got no problem on receptionist but stains & funny smells on executive room bed ). . & of course exhausted as hell, I still got to bring these luggages by myself to my own room at the 8th, & the problem isn't only tht, the working chair looks very dull, the king bed was smells like it's being used for decades you can smells people's hair & sweat on it, when I pull its blanket to the side of the bed there were a lot of stains on the bed & i'm like ok I'll sleep on my picnic mat today. . What's the point to book a hotel if I ended up like this? I've tried to sit on tht bed & it feels like sucked me in into the middle part of the bed, there was no balance when I sat on it & you will have the idea tht the bed is apparently being used for years without maintenance, it's uncomfortable. . & yet my problem isn't stopped right there, Their bathtub hot water isn't even lukewarm water it's considered as cold to me, I've tried my best to adjust it & it's nothing, the choice are cold or freezing cold water. their shower at the shower room did better & I was trying so hard to go to bed bc my left & right neighbors are extremely loud like I can hear what they're saying rly clear in my room geez . . Of course I ended up stay up until the next day I had to check out bc I just can't, I gave up I can't staying longer in a hotel like this The only excellence part of this hotel is their kitchen team, the food was top to the notch esp for patisserie team, their eclair & cream bun was the best, it heals my mood little bit when I got...
Read moreDuring our trip across Java, we stayed at ARTOTEL Suites Bianti in Yogyakarta from October 1st to 5th. Unlike other cities where we stayed briefly, we had chosen a longer stay here to relax and explore the region. We were really looking forward to it — but unfortunately, it turned out to be a major disappointment.||After a long day in Solo, we arrived in the evening, checked in, and were watching TV while waiting for our dinner when suddenly extremely loud music started playing. It was so loud that we could barely hear the TV, even though our room was near the top floor. When we went to pick up our food, we asked what was happening. To our surprise, the noise came from a live music event organized by the hotel itself, scheduled for three of our four nights until 11 PM.||When we complained that it was unreasonable for hotel guests to endure such loud noise, we were told we could either use earplugs or change rooms twice. We were tired and just wanted to sleep. After a while, the music was slightly lowered, but we were still jolted awake later by a painfully off-key and deafening version of Queen. Again, we were asked if we wanted to move rooms. We explained that this was not our problem — we had paid for a quiet hotel room, not a concert. The front desk merely said they would “inform the event manager.” No action, no empathy, no responsibility.||At 11 PM, a staff member proudly told us, “Look, the music has stopped!” — only because the event was over. The manager wasn’t available until the next day. Exhausted and frustrated, we went to bed, unable to rest. The next day we changed rooms, which helped slightly, but our main issue was the staff’s attitude: indifferent, unprofessional, and unhelpful. When we asked for compensation, they refused.||We later filed a complaint through Expedia, who confirmed that the hotel refused any refund, calling it “not aligned with their policy.” Apparently, keeping guests awake for three nights is in line with their policy. Expedia at least showed understanding and offered compensation themselves — the hotel never apologized or even responded.||We’re not usually complainers, but this was unacceptable. No empathy, no service, and no understanding of what guests expect: rest and comfort. The name “ARTOTEL” suggests quality, but given our experience, it should be “pARTYhotel.” Their events clearly matter more than their guests.||And it wasn’t just the noise. Other issues included:|• A leaking light fixture in the elevator, ignored by staff.|• Black particles in the milk at breakfast — removed without apology or replacement.|• Only chamomile tea available; regular tea took 15–20 minutes when ordered at the bar.|• Stained bed sheets in our first room, again ignored.||Altogether, far too many flaws and unprofessional responses. The handling of the noise issue was outrageous. We will never...
