Fiori Hotel Erbil — Hotel in Ankawa Subdistrict

This review is for the "Moon Room" bar & restaurant on the top (7th) floor of the Fiori Hotel in Ankawa, Iraq. Google Maps doesn't list the "Moon Room" and would not allow me to add it. (Not the same as the "Blue Moon Bar", which is on Google Maps, not far away)

Very nice views of Ankawa and Erbil, decent food and a good cocktails and wine menu. Beer choices are the usual bottled brands (Heineken, Corona). The only beer on tap is Efes.

This is a very pleasant place to spend a quiet evening - smaller, less crowded, and more intimate than The Teacher's Club For Families; Nicer than the Classy Hotel lobby bar and restaurant.

To reach the Moon Room, you can either go through the lobby of the Fiori Hotel and take the lifts, or you can go around the corner to the right (as you face the main entrance to the Fiori from the street) and find an elevator specifically for the Moon Room (which you can recognize by the big sign that says "Moon Room").

The Moon Room accepts payment in IQD and USD. If you want to pay with credit card, they'll give you the bill and ask you to pay...

A stylish hotel in Ankawa in a quiet neighborhood. There are several restaurants within walking distance. The reception features a bar and a nicely decorated and cozy lobby. The rooms are comfortable and clean and smell fresh, with a clean bathroom, clean towels, minibar and a window with view. Staff speak fluent English and are friendly and helpful. There is a well-equipped fitness room on the first floor and the “Moon Roof” bar-restaurant on the 6th floor where they serve tasty food and cocktails until past midnight in a pleasant atmosphere with good music.
