we had a family room; the room was way too small for 4 people. especially when we opened our 4 suitcases on the floor, we had trouble walking in the room. extremely small bathroom and shower with unstable water temperature. the beds were uncomfortable because you could feel the wires of the electric blankets underneath the sheets. limited breakfast selection--only traditional irish breakfast and pancakes. host was only okay; seemed friendly on the surface in the beginning but appeared very upset when we ringed her for assistance the second time. she also sounded weird when she said "thank you" when we were checking out, as if her "thank you" was only to force me to have to thank her in return. all this for $220 a night in total. would definitely NOT recommend. stay...
Read moreWe arrived on a stormy Sunday night and were greeted by our lovely hostess Joan at the front door. We fortunately discovered this absolutely charming B&B on Galway Bay, by chance. As this was our first adventure to Ireland from Canada, Joan made us feel most welcome and right at home. Thank you for such wonderful...

After a week in Ireland, this is the only time we've been confronted with something like this. Every place we have stayed has been spectacular and the people equally so. This place, however, is tired and out of step with current times. What could have been old Ireland charm is, instead, just out of touch...
