IL SALOTTO — Restaurant in County Galway

First time to Il Salotto and won’t be our last. Very attentive polite staff, great choice on the menu, authentic Italian dishes, fast service, food was delicious, & very reasonably prices in today’s world.

We had a caprese salad, suppli Di ragu and crocche Di potato starters. Mains were lamb chops (delicious!! Ate one before we even thought to take a photo) and grilled calamari, plus crème brûlée dessert. All get the thumbs up from us. Only point I’d have is the gluten free markings on menu are incorrect, which is not good. But the waiter soon advised me and worked out what I could have. And he even brought GF bread, without me asking for it. We will be back! It’s as easy to drive here as it is to get into a restaurant in Galway city, and loads of parking outside...

Just returned home from a really nice dinner at Il Salotto. Server was friendly and knowledgeable. Ambiance of the restaurant is quiet, and nicely presented. Food was excellent! Puttanesca pasta was absolutely perfect. The anchovies were exactly right to be flavorful, but not overpower the dish. I asked the server for a recommendation between a couple of the deserts I was considering and she suggested the Tiramisu--and WOW--really wonderful Tiramisu. I’ve gotten pizza here several times, and the quality is always excellent. By far my favourite pizza I’ve had. Every time I’ve called, the staff always sound upbeat and in a great mood, and when I go in I’m always met with that same upbeat energy. There is no doubt that their pizzas are my favourite gluten free pizzas, their gluten free base is so tasty. And my friends who have gotten regular pizzas are always raving about how good they are.
