4.5⭐️ rating. This hotel is part of a chain of hotels. It’s not as glamorous as some of it’s “sister” hotels but it is less expensive for those families on a budget. We were greeted by friendly and very helpful Mohammad. A very nice young man who made sure that we had adjoining rooms for my family of six. He always greeted us with a smile and by our family name!👌 Thank you Mohammad for making us feel so welcome. There are several different blocks of rooms all adjoining in alphabetical order. Only three stories. The swimming pool is situated in the middle of the hotel buildings. It was well placed in the sun so even in the middle of winter in Eilat, high of 20s, you get beautiful midday sun. Much needed when you come out of their unheated pool but it is very refreshing after sunbathing in the beautiful heat of the sun. Being from Canada, we don’t find the winter in Israel very cold so we were enjoying the quietness of the pool. There are not many sun beds, but we always managed to find an empty one. Swim towels are also provided with a lifeguard who just sits on his chair all day. It’s unfortunate the lifeguard doesn’t engage with any of the guests nor does he clean up around the pool area. At our last Isrotel resort, the lifeguards were friendly and did a lot more than just look bored. They provided pool toys for my sons as well! The riviera hotel is right in the heart of the Center of Eilat, close to the ice mall (2m walk away), all well as other stores and malls along the beautiful pier. Also close to numerous places to eat along the pier. The night life in Israel is so fun and family friendly too. By Herod’s boardwalk, there is a free open gym for those wanting to have their kids let off some excess...
Read moreStaff- 10/10 - The staff were nice but, I went to the front desk which is close to the pool. Because my card didn't work and I couldn't get in. They fixed my card and told me I needed a shirt next time.
How am I supposed to put my shirt on if it's locked in the room. And my card doesn't work because of their stupid doors. This happened to everyone, we went as a group. But they were polite about it, which was very nice.
Anastasia was polite. (I think that's her name)
Rooms- 7/10- the rooms are filled with mosquitoes and we needed to tell them and then they gave us blue lamps. Why did we need to ask. They could have offered it if they knew it was a problem... Also the room is a bit old.
Pool- 9/10- Heat up your pool. And why is the pool only open until 6 PM..
Cleaner Team- 10/10- They were kind and I understand it's a hard job.
Overall nice atmosphere, they have a PlayStation room with 5 TVs for kids. 4 PlayStation and 1 Xbox...
Read moreI spent 35 minutes driving around in circles looking for a parking spot. Finally found one only to discover that they used non standard curb stones that are too high and they scratched the bumper of my car. The room was not clean and not well maintained as you can see in the photos. Cracked sink, dirty microwave, unclean fittings in the bathroom, the list is endless. The screaming drunk youths in the hallways and other rooms kept us awake all night, despite multiple talks to security who sent people to their rooms, did nothing and the noise continued. The air conditioning in one of our rooms was insufficient, the room was too warm and it kept turning off and on. This hotel is a total disgrace. Dirty, noisy and staff that don’t care. I should have slept in the car or stayed at home, anything would have been better...
