my wife and i stayed there on the night of 4-5 September, 2025.
Issues:
showering is only possible inside the bathtub.
The bathtub is extremely small and narrow.
for an 6ft+ ageing adult it is life hazardous.
i nearly slipped and fell on my face.
there are no support surfaces to cling to, entering and exiting the bathtub.
respect of privacy: my wife is hard of hearing so she can not hear the door opening or closing. i went down for a smoke and when i returned to the room i saw a plate of cookies brought to us. i asked my wife how did it get there, she thought i brought it. but no, i didn't as i was downsrairs taking a smoke. to summarize, a hotel employee (i don't know, could be a potential rapist or terrorist entered the room without permission to sneak in cookies. the reason for this "compensation" was me asking reception to replace a broken mug of coffee.
to summarize this event: went down for a smoke, gave reception a cracked coffee mug, asked them to replace. result, room was invaded mug replaced and cookies given, without even knocking on the door!
hygiene: in the morning of the fifth of September, 2025 as my wife was going to the bathroom she found 2 cockroaches in the bathroom.
breakfast:
very small variety of foods.
if breakfast is dairy at least offer an assortment of cheese.
To summarize:
room with life endangering bathtub.
cockroaches were found in the bath room.
breakfast, poor assortment of dairy products.
crew entered our room without knocking when my wife was there.
i intend to pursue this further with Crowne Plaza US, to see if they consent to such primitive, barbarian standards.
we paid money and expected not king's service, but proper service!

Read moreThe hotel did not honor the printed confirmation price they gave me online and charged $93 more for 3 nights. I am an American citizen and my husband has dual citizenship. The hotel has a new policy that if 1 person in the room has Israeli citizenship, the hotel charges V.A.T. This was not on the website when I booked and this has never happened to us in the 40 years that I’ve been staying in hotels (including Dan) in Israel.|| The hotel manager gave me a receipt to present at the V.A.T counter at the airport to get that money back, but the woman there said you can only get that tax money back for actual goods. ||Three nights later, we stayed at the Prima Kings in Jerusalem and did not have to pay V.A.T. ||Apart from their dishonesty, the bathroom shower design was terrible. The water leaked onto the floor from the glass shower door. The hotel gave us lots of extra towels for the floor and also for the slippery tub. They only had 3 mats for the whole hotel! Not the best location - you have a steep uphill walk to the center to go to...
Read moreOld stained carpet, breakfast ok, no dinner when i was at hotel due to low amount of guests so they wont make food for few guest so restaurant closed. You can get food at the bar but its not really what i would call dinner frozen pizza etc.... VIP room on the club level was always stocked with drinks but seemed old and worn out. I had a pair of single beds in my room half comfortable. View from room was nice of the harbor. Fairly quiet on the floor where i stayed. The staff were polite and nice to speak with. Small old tv in room. Because of kosher law you cant bring your own snacks and bottled water or drinks into hotel so stuck buying it from hotel at tourist prices or drinking and eating it all out before you return to hotel. If i return to the area i would probably try to find a newer more modern hotel. The area around the hotel is nice with...
